Standard military shovels have looked that way for over 100 years.

You can even buy entrenching style shovels on amazon for ~50$ you can even buy them with serrated edges if you feel like using it as a cutting tool.

But in general, you don't need the shovel to be sharp enough to actually cut anything, the blunt force of being wacked by a shovel would prolly be enough to get your message across. Not to mention that the cutting power of one's ultra-sharp shovel would be destroyed by using it for its intended purpose, i.e. digging in dirt.
