Good information there. The step by step instructions made it really easy to do.

Do you mean this? (you deleted the 5 at the end of url)
The particle Pack is dated and probably has many issues.

how do i get rid of all the red x when i shoot a shotgun/scattergun
if people are interested in doing their own particles (not very difficult to replicate these), try this.
• put "-tools" in your launch options
• when it runs, one of the menu items at the top should say something like Tools or w.e, select "Particle Editor". Click Open and find whatever file you want to change.
• Select a particle, goto "Emitter" and just change the emission value to something a bit lower. clearly this isn't the only thing you can do, but you'll have to research or try other things out for yourself.
• save the particles in a "particles" folder (you'll prob need to make this yourself. 'particle' and 'particles' are two different places)
i wrote this all by memory from quite a while ago, may or may not be accurate :3

kb, I managed to get rid of this problem http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93512605&insideModal=1 which is similar to the red X's (shooting surfaces, some explosions, etc) by verifying integrity of game cache. Maybe it will work for you too?
