Ignoring these 2 dum-dums over what seems to be the biggest multithreaded fight in history, the general consensus is that lightboost for gaming is bad because of input lag? So I'm better off just using 120hz and no lightboost? God damn that's what I get for jumping on the bandwagon.

u ppl are actually stupid. this monitor is probably the only choice u have unless u r rich shitterchild with many parents (even then idk which monitors are substantially better)

you buy this u get

120hz if ur a hipster cuz 144hz is somehow worse

120hz lightboost have fun with ur eye cancer 10% brightness shit (most ppl dont rly notice the input lag. personally i cant see rockets/traps at all)

144hz welcome to the bdc

also there is only 1 concept behind lightboost if ppl try to swindle u to buy the shitfag benq brand

if you think 10% lightboost is that dark your pupils might be broken or something

not to say that lightboost is worth it

Wait, Lightboost is terrible? I've never noticed the input lag. I'll need to check this out.

I would think 144Hz would be better, if you have it.

I'm pretty sure it's been out a while ago. It's really pricey though.

Those are modded ones that are only sold in the states.. 499 + import fees + shipping cost = not for me:( Going to wait for the BenQ 2420G(sometime in fall) or if ASUS releases an official 24" with G-Sync and see what the reviews are like for both over at blurbusters. I can wait, 120hz is still quite good :)

Just tested out both, and 144Hz does seem more responsive than Lightboost. Still doesn't change the fact that Lightboost is smoother and a good idea overall, we just need a better implementation of it. I'll be using 144Hz from now on. Hopefully Nvidia improves Lightboost for 2D gaming.

ive been using lightboost for half a year and it was the best decision ive made.

at some point you guys are really kind of just crunching random numbers that make you feel better about your sjck setup that you paid like several hundred for

i'm not convinced that PERFECT INPUT will even make a difference

i prefer playing upside down on 85 hz while drinking gungho for ninja like focus™
i have gone through the testing and my methods have been backed by harvard science that this is the best way to play tf2 hands down

Saberat some point you guys are really kind of just crunching random numbers that make you feel better about your sjck setup that you paid like several hundred for

I think it's pretty obvious that it does. Making input lag minimal makes it easier for your brain's thoughts to be translated into actual actions in game. Because your brain isn't wired to work with a delay. Your brain wants things to work instantly, like in real life...
That's not to say that you can't get good without this stuff, but even comfort is a factor. And if you feel more comfortable playing, I think you're more likely to concentrating on the game

honestly I can barely notice the input lag, but somehow lightboost just feels worse/more jittery to me. Maybe I'm just sensitive to flicker but straight up 120hz/144hz feels cleaner and smoother in general.
