Saltysally1mustardoverlorda lot of lower level players are terrible listeners

they don't realize that almost every play they make should be based on what the people around them are calling
how could you possibly know if anybody is listening to you, you never shut the fuck up long enough for them to let you know they're listening.

One key point about high vs low level play:

Medics become less and less important at higher levels. In open it is often a legitimately smart play to focus the medic first in a fight, simply because people miss more shots.

Medics certainly get better at surviving, arrowing, juking, etc. at a higher level, but their heal output in the context of a single fight is relatively constant. The same is not true for fragging classes; scouts hit more meat, demos land more pipes and stickies, soldiers have more effective bombs. Movement skill certainly does increase but better aim will always defeat better movement (this is especially true in the context of a LAN).

Just because of the way the game works, the damage:healing ratio just goes higher and higher as you rise up in tiers of play.

Better medics will make better use of crit heals, but at higher levels players are usually smart enough to be more focused on denying crit heals from afar so I would say this point is still balanced between low and high level medics.

Damn it! Been calling them the wrong names the whole time. :<

Some little things others probably mentioned:
- All in or out attitude. There is no in between.
- Everyone knows the call to push off of damage and can follow up.
- People know how and when to push w/out having uber
- When to support your team. Ie learning how to take pressure off of your other players to gain an adv.
- When to stay alive vs pretend you have better health than you do
