you make me think of stuff I was reading in school
the giver was a real weird one.

The Giver was the best book I was required to read in elementary school. My summer reading lists didn't get any better until high school.

does anyone have any books they could recommend similar to "the bell jar" (sylvia plath), "a heartbreaking work of staggering genius" (dave eggers), etc.? kind of "emotional non-fiction" with really strong writing (not sure what genre these fall in) type of books?
