woooo rline u got a rx7 that's dope rotary power son
Audi s4 is a really sick car v6 supercharged + awd that thing is a monster.. get and tune and that car is wicked

you got the bmw 328i 335i im assuming u cant afford m3 like over 60k new, the new 328i is preetty sick and modable it has a twin turbo inline 4 unlocked the previous naturally aspirated inline 6, rwd. You can get a ecu tune and i/h/e and itll be mad fun to drive,

335i is an insane car inline 6 twin turbo just as modable as the 328i really goodnpower, rwd and potentiak awd if u get the xdrive which imo isnt good in bmws, audi awd is much superior

Don't buy a 135i of u can't afford a 335i, the new ones interior is crappy compated the most bmws

Infiniti 37xs is soooo nice its "slow" compared to the cars above sinfe its a naturally aspirated 3.7L v6. The interior of this car is sopo nice all top of the line features on par with mercedes comfort, they really stepped up their game. The xs means its awd and sport package, infiniti awd is awesome, this car will probably have the best handling except maybe the s4. If yoy know infiniti is nissan and they have a really good awd system they produce in gtrs

The new Lexus are also really nice, the is250 and is350 are really nice interior, but "slow" and rwd they are naturally aspirated inline 6, the isf is a sick car 5.4L v8 thing is a monster I'm pretty sure it rly expensive tho

Don't buy mercedes lol unless ur getting s class or any amg.. And if its a c63 amg just get a m3 lol

The first thing you need to give is a budget, and remember that you can better afford a certain model if you look into buying used instead of new. A used late model M3 will cost as much as a new 3 series.

The S5 and C63 AMG are competing models in the same price bracket, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to afford a C63 but can afford an S5.

It sounds to me like you are looking at:

Audi S5 - Best interior, slowest out of the bunch. I'd pretty much only get this if you're making your purchase solely on how good the car looks, and I agree it's a pretty sexy car inside and out. However I can't say performance wise its much of a stunner as it's the slowest car out of the group.
Meredez C63 AMG - Second worst interior, great sounding engine, second highest hp. I'd get this if you really want raw power and force out of your performance car. Nice big engine that pulls hard starting from low in the power band and will keep you pinned to your seat until redline.
BMW M3 - This car deserves some talking about since it's very peculiar. As moose highlighted BMWs interiors have been lackluster as of late. However this car still has a BMW badge on it so even if the interior sucks it's still gonna have the luxury aspect. The engine on this car is a very interesting piece, despite also being a German engineered DOHC V8 it is very different from the C63 AMG engine. The BMW engine is only 4.0L V8 which makes it much smaller than the 6.3L V8 in the AMG and thus much more lacking in torque (a mere 295 torque rating is about closer to the torque of a Honda Accord than any of the other cars mentioned here) However what makes the 2008+ BMW M3 engine pretty awesome is that it revs to 8000 rpm where you can find 420 peak horsepower. This is the only car out of the bunch I've actually driven and when you get on it, it takes the abuse like a masochist and screams for more. Despite feeling some what gutless, especially lower in the RPM range the car is very fun to rev the piss out of. This car is also one of the best performers when it comes to turning out of the bunch.
Lexus ISF - Pretty solid interior, the most reliable, interesting 8 speed transmission also the cheapest out of the bunch, second slowest out of the group). This is probably the one I would recommend against (only because its nearing the end if its model cycle) However I still think it's a fantastic car. If they were as cheap now as they were when I bought my EVO X I would probably be driving one.
Cadillac CTS-V - At 556hp its by FAR the fastest out of the group, pretty solid interior, but the down side is that it's an American car and there's a stigma that goes along with an American brand. Even though its American 556hp is no fucking joke and this car blows away the rest of the cars in straight line performance so it's my personal reccomendation.

If you are staying away from the performance luxury cars and just sticking more closely to sporty luxury cars your options are:

Infiniti G37 - Would stay away since it's nearing the end of its model cycle, there will be a new model soon, and then you'll no longer be driving a new luxury car.
BMW 335i - Twin turbos are fucking awesome (My personal recommendation)
Lexus IS350 - The 2007-2013 are pretty awesome cars (I regret not buying one in 2007 since they still look good today) but the new model is coming out in 2014, if you can hold off on purchasing until the '14 are available it would be a smart financial decision since Lexuses hold their value extremely well and Lexus wont be replacing that year until 2021 since all their models are updated/replced after 7 years.
Mercedez C Class - boring snoozefest IMO
Audi A5 - pretty sexy car, other than than that I can't really say anything spectacular about it mechanically/financially.

Something you need to consider when shopping for a new or used luxury car is model cycle years. Every 4-7 years or whatever the company ditches the old model completely and releases a new one with more features, updated styling, and better performance.

This is important to note because most people buy luxury cars so that they can have "THE BEST" but if you buy a car that's nearing the end of it's model cycle (IE 2012 BMW 3 series) the following year when the new model comes out you're going to then have yourself a used luxury car and you'll no longer be seen as a baller. Where as the person who purchased his new 3 series in 2006 has a new luxury car from years 2006-2012.

i'm not a huge car guy but I was reading on reddit about a shipping option a few dealers do (audi/volvo being two I can think of).

"European Delivery" which means that they will fly you out to somewhere in Europe (I want to say it's in Sweden, but can't remember exactly) for a week. They pay for hotel and everything, all to give you the opportunity to drive the car so it's technically "used". I guess it saves on shipping tax or something.

http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/17cxd9/my_family_and_i_did_the_volvo_european_delivery/ (not the thread I saw initially, but has information on it)

edit: i bought this up because a lot of people I mention this to don't know about it.

edit2: from the reddit thread

No, you have to go to Sweden, or which ever country you're buying from (BMW, Audi and others have something similar). The trick is that import duties on new cars are much higher than for used ones. So instead of picking up a new car in the US, you pick it up in its country of origin, which of course means there aren't any duties on it, drive it around there during your vacation, and after that you only have to pay duties on a used car when it's imported to the US (which the manufacturer handles for you).

Get a Cobra kit car. Or a Caterham 7, or a Lotus Elise.

Those are the kinds of things I think of when I think of sports cars.

However, that being said, listen to vhalin and get the CTS-V. That thing is awesome.

I cannot plus frag this enough.

The Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 is a real fun car. Once it comes in AWD (8 months of winter) with a turbo (there is room under the hood for it) I'll probably buy one.

Then again you lose a lot taking away that rear wheel drive. Also my '98 Civic Si will probably run for another decade.
