Diamondback:
- You get crits just for playing ur class normally
- You maybe, sometimes, get a single shot of 100 damage before dying instantly
- Banned
Frontier Justice:
- You get crits just for playing ur class normally
- You pretty regularly get 2-3 shots capable of instakilling any 6s class
- On a class that's already a lot more viable than spy and just exists to slow the game down
- Allowed

I like when an engineer waddles out of lobby with his glowing gun. His optimism is infectious, his move speed sub par. I know he is smiling and so I smile as well.

diamondback:
- reward is given instantly for no sacrifice
- gun has minor penalties when used without crits (damage nerf that is shared with other popular meta revolvers like letranger and amby, but 6 shots per reload is retained)
- you absolutely can get 2 shots off quick on a player and insta drop them if you time it right
frontier justice:
- if your sentry gets kills in order to provide you with crits, you have to actively either kill your gun or allow your gun to BE killed in order to receive your reward
- gun without crits is functionally a zero-miss endeavor as with 3 shots if you miss at all on most classes you just dont even have enough ammo to compensate for your mistake
also in 6s you dont want to use the diamondback anyway because the unbanned meta alternative the l'etranger gives such a massive passive buff of having more cloak to have a better time getting in position

So wrong on so many levels.
1. You can destroy your gun after it gets kill(s) as the enemy team will retreat since a player just died, giving enough time to rebuild. If they decide to push they will push into the crits with a player disad.
2. Engineer is already at a disadvantage in a 1v1 with regular shotgun against every class except spy or sniper or medic. if you can get 3 shots off and not be dead, that's already a miracle tbh. You also shouldn't even be in this position. Why are you pushing out as engineer? Why are you still on engineer on last and haven't swapped off already to a better class for the situation, like heavy, pyro or scout?
3. The diamondback in 6s is busted. You backstab some rando guy instead of the med then shoot the med for 100 to force or drop with any sort of spam, or shoot ANYONE to kill another guy and get a 2 for 1 sac. Or even don't shoot and run away and go for round two, where you get 2 crits to 2 shot a med.
4. Regular revolver is really good, l'etranger is more for when time pressured and can't waddle around on cloak and dagger and need the stab quick rather than risking a revolver kill.
Unlocks and offclasses are pretty straight forward to use, but then I read stuff like this and it makes me understand why so many people are still so bad at it.

i can see diamondback being broken in pubs but idk about 6s
if a revolver crit on demand is so broken then why do spies run stock revolver over ambassador? if a spy can get off a stab and still fire a shot after then why not have a one time chance at a crit since that could only happen when they picked a good timing. not to mention that you could get unironic chainstabs in moments like those with big earner instead of just one crit shot
i understand thinking diamondback is stupid or not fun to play against but definitely not too strong

Seinfeld- if your sentry gets kills in order to provide you with crits, you have to actively either kill your gun or allow your gun to BE killed in order to receive your reward
u dont have to det ur gun or "let it be killed", u just play the game normally and eventually u get crits for free

Seems like on engie you get extra rewarded for being bad at your job and letting buildings get destroyed, which is a bit odd.

Idk what you are on about, your post reads as though diamondback is really good but not the best unlock (which it would be if allowed and used properly), my post states it is the best unlock hands down when used properly. It opens up a style of gameplay where you don't need to stab the medic, and you still get the value as though you did. The only time I concede it isn't as good is when under time pressure, in which case l'etranger beats it as you can move faster.
Your post reads as though frontier justice isn't insanely overpowered because of situations you shouldn't be in as engy, mine states that you shouldn't be in those situations anyway (making your point completely irrelevant) and if you knew how to actually play the game and how it flowed, it is always the best currently unbanned weapon (rescue ranger still better) and is disgustingly strong, way stronger than diamondback too since it doesn't even open a new style of play it just kills the enemy faster than a shotgun.
If you think I'm agreeing with you, please learn to write first, as I do not see how your thoughts (explained above) are at all similar to mine (also explained above).

Personally, a spy stabbing someone and then instantly being able to merc another player is more annoying.
