G400 is one of the best mice on the market, just be aware that the cord goes out fairly often on them. It's not a big deal since Logitech is REALLY lenient on replacements(i.e. you don't even need to ship your broken mouse back, they just ship you a new one).

Also, http://www.amazon.com/HandStands-Extra-Large-Super-Mouse/dp/B000TD0QU2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1361038074&sr=8-2&keywords=large+mouse+pad

Just do a quick search in the forums. There are a lot of informative posts on mice and mouse pads.

Pretty much this. Cord on my MX518 got fucked, bought a g400 which also went out. Logitech wants my old one back to get it replaced though. It lasted a good year+ which I'm perfectly happy with, but the failure is sudden and it can leave you high and dry.

What tooth said.

G400 is great for the price. The software is also good - you can customize every button per game.

But my first G400 only lasted 2-3 months. It would intermittently disconnect/reconnect a few times an hour when gaming. Logitech sent me a new one, for free, and it's lasted a good 10 months so far. The old one still works, but it's not viable for gaming.

Performance is good, features are good, but the build quality is right in line with the price you pay. Just comparing the cord of the G400 to my old MX510 shows a noticeable difference. The G400's is thinner.

I use a G400, and it's wonderful. Feels really nice in my hand, adjustable DPI with a dpi default button, browser back and forth (fully reprogrammable) and it has a nice long cord that you can tuck away if need be.

Make sure to check the bottom of the mouse and see the PID number. If the number is below LZ13333, sorry to say but you probably got the g400 with angle snapping. If you have a pid number LZ13333 and above or a S/N, you got a angle snapping free mouse

Would be highly unlikely to get a new g400 with a pid# below LZ13333

they wound up deciding that I didn't need to return my old one, getting a replacement for free in about a week. A+ homie would reccomend

The scrollwheel on my MX518 acted up after almost 4 years, only problem I ever had. Got a G400 replacement, and the G400 seemed to be just as good. Pretty good IMO, and warranty is great like others have said.

for the g400 either get a mouse cord clip or pull a bunch of slack onto your desk and pin it down w something and you wont run into the cord problem.

In addition to the positive accel it also has the irremovable negative accel that all lasers get on cloth.

Um... How?

draw circles, draw horizontal and vertical lines. If your lines are perfectly straight, then your mouse got prediction and watch for jitters for different dpis.

Nope, no prediction. I also did the same as the guy in the video to test accel - no accel.
