just a few friendly tips from a mouse expert

  • make sure to get the mouse with as much dpi as you can. you're gonna want a minimum of 8000 dpi
  • look for a mouse with cool neon colors. red makes your mouse move faster, but blue keeps your mouse cool for sweaty gamer palms. there are benefits to both obviously, so decide wisely.
  • you're definitely going to want a wireless mouse, get those bulky cords out of the way and disconnect yourself from the matrix. wireless cords keep you free, from both the hassle of the cord and from government interference

i wish you luck during your search for gamer gear!

Good mice with not 8 million buttoms all over them:
-Any Zowie mice, The fk1 is a popular choice, the fk2 is its smaller brother
-Razer Deathadder
-Logitech G100s if you're on a budget or G303
-Steelseries Sensei

There are other good ones out there, but these are some popular choices that I've heard mostly good things about.

hilarious cunt SHUT UP

To the OP - you should probably give some ideas on what you're looking for (maybe weight, size, amount of extra buttons required), budget, and preferred way to grip the mouse. For example, I use the FK1 and recently bought a ZA 12. However, I can't grip the ZA12 the way I grip my FK1 (somewhat of a claw) partly due to the change of shape of the mouse.

The Zowie FK1 & beyond, and the ZA series are solid. You should also have a look at the pictures of some of these and see if you think they'd feel good in your hand.

honestly a pretty on point chart. the one thing i would say is that ambi mice do start to make your hand ache after a while. shop around on ebay and the like for second hand mice too, even if you're not on a budget there's no point unnecessarily overspending.

#11, that chart is outdated af though, it makes no sense to put different zowie mice with the same sensor in different tiers and the AM doesn't even exist anymore.

zowie za and ec series, rival 300. both very good mice.

Although you should give us more of an idea of your own requirements, hand size, grip type, whether you care about buttons etc.

Check out rocketjumpninja on youtube as well, great reviews.

As someone who has owned multiple Zowie mice, they are HIGHLY overrated in my experience. The switches are stiff and the build quality is sub-par.
Nice cords though.

Can someone link me where i can take a Zowie ec1 eVo? I'm too used to it and i can't imagine how i'll live without it... now that ec1-a is out it even might cost less (but i doubt it will ever be @30$ like when i bought it from monoprice)

Yo I think I am going to purchase fk1. My fingers are kinda strong from piano tho its not gonna break from clicking too hard is it? If not I'm just gonna grab a deathadder 2013 since my buddy had one and whenever he invited me over I would just play cs with that thing and it was cash.

If you like the deathadder, I recommend the Zowie EC1-A. I switched to it from a deathadder (long time user), and find them to be similar in many ways, but I think the Zowie is much better overall.

What's the difference between ec1-a and the fk1?

The EC1-A is a right handed mouse, and the FK1 is ambidextrous. So if you like the shape of the deathadder, the EC1-A would probably be the way to go.

Well I aim right handed and jerk right handed as well, which means when I'm selecting a video I use my left hand. I'll grab the fk1 for its versatile use outside of just fragging. Thanks for the help :)

the301stspartanAlso "mouses"Simsmakersckapalec_mice*For the animal, mice is correct. For a computer mouse, mouses is correct.

lol

No. The computer mouse was named after the rodent because it looked similar. The word was adopted, not invented. Mice is the correct plural, but mouses is still a verb (i.e. he mouses over the correct link before clicking it).

The Microsoft(R) Manual of Style for Technical Publications
(ed. Amanda Clark, Microsoft Press, 1995, ISBN 1-55615-939-0)
says: "Avoid using the plural mice; if you need to refer to more
than one mouse, use mouse devices."
