While I'm 100% sure that nativeavian was hacking, bary you don't do yourself any favors when you rollout sniper to mid before you even know that they have a hacker, you triple fake scoped a hacking sniper (Seriously wtf if they toggle their triggerbot or aimbot you could be the jitteriest player around and 95% of the time they'll still kill you.)

DanceNumbertycho only got a 1 week create lobby ban.

sometimes these admins make strange choices

Player was banned for hosting a non-VAC lobby. I agree that that should be about a week lobby create.
Anyway, the tycho guy is:
http://tf2center.com/profile/76561198116882356
http://tf2center.com/profile/76561198184707585

Any evidence of either of these accounts cheating on center would be appreciated.

ProSkeezI don't know if any of you guys remember Sun/Moon from a couple months back, but I stumbled across his profile and it seems that he was VAC'd hahaha.

Thread One - http://teamfortress.tv/thread/19021/sun-possible-cheater
Thread Two - http://teamfortress.tv/thread/22343/sun-moon-hacking-again

Was caught by us a while ago.

I would encourage everyone in this thread that thinks someone is cheating in a lobby to submit a ban requests with proper evidence to us: http://forums.tf2center.com/forms/5-request-a-ban/
Unless a player is blatantly using trigger/aimbot and hitting 100% headshots, I'm not going to apply a ban based on a lobby link. Provide a demo and some ticks and we'll take a look.

A while ago I started setting up AC measures on center, which is harder than it sounds (hence the emphasis on supplying demos). Since I work at ETF2L we naturally have a close relationship with their competent AC team. Players getting caught at TF2Center and TF2Pickup will be reported to ETF2L and vice versa.

We're trying to do the same with UGC but sadly they don't have a dedicated AC staff, which is weird because the volume of NA players reported is way higher. For the moment I just send messages to various UGC league admins and hope they do something with it.

I'm pretty sure the amount of cases will rise as soon as we open our ranked matchmaking system, so we're focussing on making cheating accusations a robust process. But it all stands or falls with the evidence provided, intricacy in the case review process and workload of our AC teams.

I think the biggest way to help AC would be to make sure your servers are recording STV for every game.

Hello, good to see an admin from TF2C in this thread. I've submitted several ban requests for hackers in the past week to TF2C, but I guess they are still awaiting review.

That is interesting that you are confirming that Tycho = Thundah, and I am not surprised.

I gathered some data and would like you to take a look at the graph I made. I sourced my data from the last 10 logs.tf lobbies from Tycho and Thundah. I only chose lobbies which they both played sniper in, and lobbies which actually had accuracy stats, and discarded any of the stats with a damage sample size of ~<750.

http://i.imgur.com/pTlYHkI.png

Tycho's average accuracy 59.7%
Thundah's average accuracy 29.4%

So if Tycho is Thundah's alt, then the accuracy is almost exactly doubled based on the 10 lobby sample group. I think pretty much everyone will agree that Tycho's accuracy is far to high for him to be legit. And that it appears to be an alt of Thundah's, suggests that he decided to make an alt strictly for lobby cheating purposes.

If you require further evidence, I would be happy to review some demo's of Tycho and report tick numbers that are bs. Also please let me know if you will be handling the ban yourself, or if you would like me to submit a ban request on center for Tycho.

DanceNumberI think the biggest way to help AC would be to make sure your servers are recording STV for every game.

That and also, couple that with making sure you have logs.tf extended stats enabled.

For those of you booking serveme.tf servers, this is for some strange reason NOT enabled by default, but can be enabled via a simple rcon command: rcon tftrue_logs_accuracy 1

Supstats is off for NA due to SS I think, will ask Arie about it.

Thanks everyone for submitting evidence on possible cheaters. Got a few extra submissions on cases mentioned above so we'll be reviewing them soon.
If you have anything (evidence, advice or just a questions) for our AC practices let me now on steam (leave a msg first before adding me please) or contact me at kkaltuu@tf2center.com

$layer wasn't allowed and slayer is taken and is also too generic. And the mumble voice always pronounced my name dollar layer, and several friends jokingly called me that. So I chose that as my name here :P

Thanks! I guess one of my main suggestions for cheater/hacker bans would be for the person that submitted it to be notified about the decision of the case. I was told that those threads are not made public, so when someone submits one they never know what happens unless they contact an admin.

Lastly, do you need anything else to review Tycho, or are you good for now?

Processing ban requests already take a lot of effort. I don't see any benefit for tf2center to send out notifications to be honest.

Someone posted earlier in this thread that they requested a ban for someone even posted a youtube video showing they were wallhacking. They thought their post was just deleted because they saw it, then a few days later it was gone without notice. All I am suggesting is a 30 second PM saying something like "Thanks for your ban report, we concluded that the guy was indeed cheating and have banned him." Or maybe just making it clear on the persons profile that they are banned, because so far I've not seen anything like that.

I do appreciate the work you guys are doing to take care of the cheaters, and I do understand this takes time. Cheers!

ganja_plant connected to the REALTourney mumble to play in the last few rounds of the 2v2 MGE Tourney with an IP that matched that of another Bullet alt. He denies being a bullet alt and got aggressive when confronted about it.

He was kicked from the tourney and will be banned from future REAL events unless some new evidence pops up. Just a heads up.

In case any programmers here are interested in actually doing something to help catch these guys:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=2280611#post2280611

This may take a bit to explain, I'm almost pretty sure this wouldn't go under "SourceMods" but I was not sure where to post it.

Cheating has been ongoing in UGC, ETF2L, and ESEA for a good while and there will always be cheaters until the day this game dies out. ESEA has a client side executable that acts like a little punkbuster but there have been guys who've been able to circumvent it. UGC and ETF2L have nothing but an AntiCheat team to review demos. (If I'm not mistaken ETF2L players do have the option of having ANAKKKs anticheat plugin on their servers but it is not widely used sadly; UGC still has nothing).

My idea is to make a client side tool to assist anticheat teams in catching these cheaters. (This is for use for the AC teams, players will not need this).

The way I had the idea in my head is that there are Client Side TF2 Plugins out there (PREC, OpenPlugin), Why make one that scans over .dem files and bookmarks ticktimes of suspicious activity sort of the way SMAC or Anakkks AntiCheat (I'll refer it to AAC for now) displays a flag in chat when there is suspicious activity?

Imagine how much easier it would be for AC teams to run a demo with this plugin enabled at 600% speed and then get a nice text file of bookmarks of possible aimbotting or esp. Then with these ticktimes in hand the AC team knows exactly where to look if they feel the need to do a further review of the demo? Doing that as opposed to watching hour long demos repeatedly to ensure they didn't miss a thing would be very beneficial to either leagues review teams.

I've spoken to a few guys who code SourceMod plugins and even talked to PREC messiah Orange who all tell me it's possible but I have little to no knowledge on how to code anything except HTML. I guess what I'm saying is, is there any folks interested in turning this into a group project that would benefit the Comp community?
If you want to discuss on steam please feel free to add me:
