if youre using a custom crosshair pack that requires you to put a letter for a certain crosshair, the game can make that letter your crosshair instead of the image it corresponds with. try reinstalling the crosshair pack.

the only program i could think of is your certain gpu (AMD, Nvidia). under gpu scaling there is typically 3 options, maintain aspect ratio (black bars), scale image to full panel (stretched) and use centered timings (dont use this). You can change between black bars and stretched by choosing either option 1 or 2. This is the only way i really know of changing from stretched to black bars easily.

My headphones broke and now I want to try using earbuds and a mic. Need any good and relatively cheap desktop mic recommendations, ty.

Im not 100% sure, but it may have to do with your gpu scaling on your driver. Turn it on and off and se if the bars come back.
