#5 A good read while at work... in Off Topic

well i guess the idea that it was intentionally orchestrated by some shadowy illuminati is controversial (i.e. retarded) but none of the actual facts are new or interesting

#20 pistol aim in TF2 General Discussion
Lights_I liked playing CS or Quake to help with my aim, playing CS really helped with my flick-aiming. Clicking on heads mang.

Flick aiming is one thing, it's muscle memory that's the same in every game if you use the same sens. Still no advantage to doing it in another game. Pistol is 100% tracking which is all about prediction. Practicing it in another game where movement is different than tf2 is not going to be as useful as actually practicing with the pistol.

Basically the pistol is random as fuck outside a certain range, it's similar to heavy's cone of fire. If you are at medium/close range it is fairly reliable if your tracking doesn't suck dick like mine. However even at medium or close range feel free to blame the weapon as it's unlikely anyone will ever call you out on it.

#47 problem in Off Topic

Well these kinds of situations are complicated but most likely he will be revolted at first then fall in love with her. However your friend ultimately will find out that her current bf was involved in the murder of her ex boyfriend and try to kill him but won't be able to bring herself to do it. She'll end up murdering someone else but he'll take the fall for her and end up in prison.

Overall just not a great idea.

#21 Staying positive? in Q/A Help

one thing ive learned is to try to dump your irl baggage before you start playing

if im stressed out about stuff irl playing tf2 seems like a really attractive option at the time because you can just focus on it and take your mind off things, but if you are cranky going into scrims you will be cranky during scrims

i can notice it even if i'm just a bit behind on sleep - i'm more liable to let things bother me and feel down if im playing while tired

just try to be rested, relaxed and have a full stomach when it comes to scrim time - take a quick nap or meditate or whatever if you need to beforehand. maybe take a nice pregame shower to wash all your worries away

#14 Moving on from team? in Off Topic

its not really a big deal, i got "moved to backup" when THPS went invite and chose to look for another team so I could actually play, there was no bad blood and i was still friendly with all those dudes

the more cool ex teammates you have on steam friends the easier you have it finding scrims/ringers
