#92 RGL Div-1 S4 Happenings/Discussion in TF2 General Discussion

i think we should look into this guy too.
he has to be using autodet and if not autodet he has to be walling .

Didn't realize that kaidus was a scout main, got banned for cheating, disappeared for a few years, suddenly returned at a much higher level on a different class, generated mass controversy and cheating accusations on a level that hasn't been seen since bullet, and has loads of fishy clips in one week.

I also didn't realize that frkshw was a multi-time prem winner who has been proven on LAN multiple times, and is the best main caller in his continent.

My bad. Thanks for the information!

68% of players voted to have it stay unbanned? That's really surprising to hear.

#11 hail putin in World Events

Associated Press pretty much instantly corroborated. This information was on a distributed intelligence briefing that gets disseminated to around a thousand officials. After Trump lied about not being briefed, it's not hard to pressume that at least a couple told the media "Yeah, that intel is in one of my print copies of a daily briefing from late March." Obviously they cannot say who they are because Trump will fire them if they talk. But AP, along with Reuters, are the two most celebrated news companies. Do you honestly think they would scuttle their credibility to slander the Russians?

This is no anti-Russian hoax. Don't let your ideology blind you.

ZestyOk if you want to do that here are the numbers you have to roll against for your week 4b matches. You might want to play the match if youve had rough scrims though...

Fuck you Stock. You got us placed in this div and not div 2

#25 Supreme Court rules on LGBTQ+ worker rights in Off Topic
KevinIsPwntsarKavanaugh ... is no partisan ideologue.
if you genuinely think this is true, i urge you to look at basically anything he did before becoming a circuit judge and most of his rulings while he was a circuit judge.

And I urge you to look at anything he did during his time on the Supreme Court. It's not unheard of that people's ideologies shift upon reaching the Supreme Court. Take Souter or Stevens, for example. If Kavanaugh was a hack, then how would he vote with Ginsburg and Sotomayor as much as Alito and Thomas? Why is he characterized as barely left of Roberts and the closest Judge to the ideological center?

There's good reasons to be weary of Kavanaugh, but this is a characterization of his record.

#20 Supreme Court rules on LGBTQ+ worker rights in Off Topic

Kavanaugh dissented on the grounds that he didn't feel that the Supreme Court was the body best suited to extend this right. Both his dissent, as well as Alito's that Thomas joined, make this distinction abundantly clear. I'm not a fan of Alito or Thomas, and Kavanaugh has a rocky record, but Kavanaugh is in near ideological lockstep with Roberts (check the stats on SCOTUS blog if you disagree). He is no partisan ideologue.

Regardless, Gorsuch wrote a great opinion. I highly recommend reading it.

#6 Book recommendations? in Off Topic

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is always a go-to recommendation.

I'm reading "The Color Purple" right now. Other good books to read given the current events of the world are "Heart of Darkness" and "Things Fall Apart." I'm also a big fan of "Catch-22."

For history books, I enjoyed both "Why Nations Fail" and "The Invention of Russia - The Rise of Putin and the Age of Fake News."

All of the other choices in this thread so far look really good.
