only if your GPU is terrible, for the record. this is an important distinction, because you don't need a hardcore-good graphics card for TF2, but you need a really good CPU, so after a certain point, you'll only be saving a few frames at best for lower resolutions

DoctorMiggyI clearly recall people rallying against players hacking on alts in the infamous TFTV Cheater/Hacker thread AND a thread over at UGC pertaining to a certain plat heavy, so it's kind of stupid to see people getting so defensive about it now.
I mean, those threads are sort of why I think it's good to note a difference btwn hacking cases, because it was a lot of witch-hunting and false dilemmas in general. like, again, idk why saying "this is a really bad thing, whereas this is a significantly deplorable thing" is such a big deal, they can both still be bad things overall, but one is still significantly worse no matter how you twist it
