You can click anywhere on the calender or click on teams and view their match history to find links to STV demos.

Scroll down till you see your price range and click on it. I have the AD700s and while they are far and away the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, they come at a price(and lack any isolation whatsoever). For a first dip into real headphones, I've heard very very good things about the Superlux heeadphones.
I don't know how the highlander community handles scrims but I know for 6v6 scrims are generally arranged through IRC. One player from a team will advertise on #tf2scrim saying they're looking to scrim another team on their level("6v6 mid open cp_badlands" or something similar) and someone from another team will see that, respond to them on IRC, exchange server info, and play.
To add to that, use atf2.org for IRC. It makes connecting to the necessary channels literally effortless. All you have to do is type your name and hit connect.
keep in mind that if you're running windowed/noborder you'll want to turn off Windows Aero so your fps doesn't dip even more.

I'm pretty sure there was an update to the ESEA client like a year ago that made it automatically disable plugins.
Also, hooray!
OK so Mechanicsburg is actually only 3 hours away so that makes this much more plausible. If I can get a group of friends to go I'll be going 100%.
I would love to go to this(and Pittco) but driving 7 hours all alone kind of sucks. Would it be possible to get a list of people attending the event?
Unless the angle snapping is seriously intrusive, I doubt it will effect your aim much. I used a Zowie EC1 for a while and didn't ever notice angle snapping in game.
I read somewhere that Deal Extreme can take a long time to ship things, like a month or so. Having said that, it looks like a sick budget combo since I also read in the same thread that their clip on mic sounds great(probably the same mic).
Well that's for DVI and HDMI, I'm assuming your CRT connects with a DB15/VGA/whatever it's called connector. I could be wrong, but I would check that real quick.
