New update posted here: http://resup.gg/summerlan2022.html

(Noteworthy change though is the shift from a 3 minute timelimit to a 4 minute timelimit. Also the potential for 7 matches at the same time is there)

#8 Admin misconduct in TF2 General Discussion
brody even with how vaguely the rule is written this is a bird brained way to interpret itrgl A team reforming in the same division after high placement will receive appropriate scrutiny and may face roster restrictions depending on roster changes similar to any other team in the division.

?????

#5 Admin misconduct in TF2 General Discussion
DogdayboyWell it clearly is an issue since the team has won every match. Rule enforcement inconsistency is generally bad especially when the team has an admin on it. If 3 players can come back 4 seasons later, can they come back 3 seasons later instead? Can 4 players reform a team again?

Yes lmao. It seems like a team can reform in the same div but not under the same roster. Like the people can still play together but just on different roles. An example of this is Kronge Realm which would place high in advanced every season and mostly just change up the roles among the same group of players. I'm more or less going off what is enforced.

The rule is still vague as fuck and contradicts itself though make no mistake.

#52 TF2 LAN at Localhost Fullerton (Feb 12-13, 2022) in LAN Discussion

LHTF2 LAN Conclusion

This was an amazing event! Thank you to everyone who attended, competed, tuned in to the streams, posted pictures, contributed to the prize pool, and of course thanks to Localhost and the RESUP crew that helped run the event including RaosCometh, AvoidJoker, moof, exa, reno, and Dolphin.

Final Team Standings
1st. froyotech
2nd. Like A G6
3rd. Witness Gaming
4th. RoS HNJ
5th/6th. Ford Gaming, Penguins in 3D
7th/8th. aLAN Gaming, Lexus December To Remember Event
9th. Portland Burnsiders
10th. POC and Giblert
11th. FireUP Esports

Prize distribution is currently being sorted, so please bear with us as we coordinate with Localhost to get that done. We may require some additional information from teams to deliver prizes, so please keep an eye out for a message in case we run into any issues.

Raffle Winners
The winner of the Unusual Disco Beatdown California Cap was Zachary W, and the winner of the signed XL Localhost Mousepad with signatures from all competitors at LHTF2 LAN was Elena Manetta. They were both extremely generous with their contributions to the prize pool so it was only fitting that they each won prizes. I will be reaching out to the PayPal email addresses provided in order to coordinate the delivery of your prizes.

Feedback
As great an event as it was, especially considering it was the first RESUP LAN, it was admittedly not perfect. If you have any feedback about any aspect of the tournament, please share it with us here on the RGL Forums (lmao) event post so we can use it to improve our events in the future.

(Reposted from RGL Forums, you could post feedback here if you really wanted to)

LHTF2 Update #2

REGISTRATION DEADLINES
There will be a deadline of 2/1/22 for all new team registration. If you intend to sign up a team but cannot register or pay before that deadline please reach out to us so we can see about making an arrangement for you. Spectator passes will remain open for purchase online, and will still be available day of the event or in person.

Currently we have all of the top teams in NA fully registered (froyotech, Witness Gaming, Like a G6) plus a few fan favorites (Ford Gaming, Portland Burnsiders), with more in the process of confirming (RoS, Global Clan, etc) for a total of ~10 teams. Because we are going to have so many teams there will likely not be many open PCs for drop-ins/rentals until late in the evening on day 1. If you want to guarantee yourself a 0-ping experience, be sure to get a team together and signed up for the tournament.

Buy team passes and spectator passes here: https://nerdstreet.com/events/tf2-at-localhost-fullerton-2022-02-12

Team + LFT Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJ7tKxWe3ZhIGVKKvYUMVKNrwzBQyKZ0Hb2uq-m8t78/edit?usp=sharing

Ruleset, Plugins, Configs
All matches will be played with RGL rules, and RGL map list (TBD), except where specified otherwise.

There will be no halftimes. Teams will be encouraged to use their tactical pauses between rounds instead.

KOTH matches will be played first to 4.

5CP matches will be played with the Improved Round Timer and Improved Match Timer plugins. The specific settings of each are as follows:

Round timer will be set to 3 minutes (resetting each time a point is captured).
Match timer will be 30 minutes, but if neither team scores 5 points by then, the winlimit will be reduced to the current highest score plus 1 (ex: After 30 mins, the score is 3-1, so the winlimit will be set to 4 and the match will only end when a team scores 4 points).
These settings are meant to reduce prolonged stalemates, and to eliminate undesirable effects of traditional timelimit formats (parking the bus as a winning strategy, stifled comebacks, garbage time, anticlimactic match endings, etc). These plugins are available now on servers rented from http://na.serveme.tf for you to practice with (select Enable Plugins and rgl_6s_5cp_improvedtimers).

The plugins can also be downloaded separately from the links below.

Improved Match Timer: https://github.com/dewbsku/Improved-Match-Timer
Improved Round Timer: https://github.com/b4nnyBot/TF2-Improved-Round-Timer-Plugin
Combined Pack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pU1G2im-d2wa12ijyKmR4UegMpJzJe8a/view?usp=sharing

Logistics/Stream Info
This will be one of the first events under the “RESUP” banner, to delineate the event organization, production and finances. The on-site production team will be streaming to http://twitch.tv/b4nny, covering the headline match at any given moment, but since there may be as many as 4 simultaneous matches at once, we will hope to coordinate with other production teams to cover as many matches as possible on different channels. We are aiming for the on-site casts to have a loose and fun feel with plenty of guest casters and community interaction. We will set up a couple live cams for the stream and also have an event photographer getting pictures of players, teams, and action from the event.
