For as bad as ugc can be the one thing they do really well are the polls they have after every season.

Basically, a google form goes out via email that lets players vote on things like maps(scale 1-5 do you like it), unlocks(ban or unban worthy?), and just general things about the league. Admins later post the data and sort it by div (steel/silver/plat).

The whole process is really good because there’s so much transparency and because its a good way of surveying ugc player opinions. While I personally think ugc admins have made....questionable decisions after collecting the data it is miles better than all this behind-the-scenes shenanigans that go on here, where it’s unclear how admins come to this conclusion and the community consensus is unclear as well. It also gives a lot of power to whoever’s the loudest poster here on tftv, whereas everybody that plays in esea/etf2l/ozfortress obviously doesnt necessarily post often but their opinions regarding maps/unlocks/whatever still matter.

i've spilled entire glasses of orange juice on my keyboard before and honestly all i did was wash it completely so nothing would stick and just let it airdry for a shitton of time, and it still works perfectly. honestly if you disconnect it and leave it out overnight to dry and you still find things glitching you could try the whole dunk it rice thing to make sure it's dried out completely.

idk, in my experience people know ugc waaaay more than esea. i remember hellbent posting a little whiles back that putting “ugc plat roamer” garnered way more viewers than “invite roamer”. most people dont know ugc 6’s is a joke

warmtic has awful optimization (i lose 100 fps by looking at the truck lol)

check if you have a file called hudanimations and just comment anything out that looks like it changes color on damage

oh also every update that lowers the skill ceiling of med, like scout speed buff, regen buffs etc.

valve just needs to accept that people ain't gonna play med in pubs regardless lol, those buffs don't change much (and i still don't get healed as scout in pubs ...)

i have faith that pyro can theoretically be fixed to the point where it's no longer aids to play against

what makes tf2 great for me is the sense of personal agency, that like every death/frag/whatever I could've done something different (dodged the rocket better, pushed him when he was reloading etc.). I don't really get that feeling when I play against sniper though, just something about the one class that can sit as far back as possible on the map and dodge the fray just kinda irks me.

on the other hand though I like watching players like sheep and jukebox (though I imagine it'd be aids to play against them) rattle off 150 headshots like it's nothing. Maybe I just hate it when snipers hold an angle that you eventually have to cross with a full charge and you're just like "well shit better pray I get good rng and they miss or tf2 hitboxes save me"
