Weird deaths, config problem?

It might be server side pluggin. I play with ragdolls off so people just disappear when they die, but ive been on a few servers that have the lazer death animation on for all deaths.

How about tooltip style notification that would fade out after a set amount of time, on the top or bottom left of the screen to display class changes or loadout change?
