#334 OMG 4 in TF2 General Discussion
cookieGRATITUDEhttps://prnt.sc/J7ucudScXgYOI saw him in a pub the other day, he was aimbotting lol

he's literally been doing this for like a year, i would run into him and ask him why he got banned from RGL and he constantly would talk about how he's unfairly maligned and didn't do anything
glad to see this

#8 Why in TF2 General Discussion
Tholewords

a half-dead TF2 forum isn't the best place for this discussion but:

zoomers are not converting to Christianity at a high rate, the trend of religiosity has gone down across the developed world pretty consistently, don't believe everything you read

the degradation of society probably comes from the constant financial crisises of the past 30 years.

Christian kingdoms and city states were getting outdone by Muslims and guys in China for the longest time too, you're only looking at the world in the past 200 years (a lot of shitty places to live now like Uganda are also highly religious)

anyways why do people keep pushing their religion in a TF2 forum I don't understand

#11 ban loch in TF2 General Discussion
Wild_Rumpusits probably just inertia. i dont think anecdotes are data but it definitely feels like more people want it banned than don't, but i think the plurality of people don't care strongly either way

possibly, but i am not so sure about that. why not put it to a poll? it's hardly rigorous but it'd be nice to see general opinion on this forum.

#30 hey what food do you guys like in TF2 General Discussion

i make a delicious and simple slow cooked pork tenderloin with brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, and various hot peppers that i serve over white rice on the rare occasions I actually receive guests. it's quite nice.

#12 TF2 discussion thread in TF2 General Discussion
Yrri always wondered why pro versions of snowy maps didnt use the badlands theme, it looks so much more interesting than alpine dirt, and the shit that was buried in snow before doesn't look so weird when its buried in sand instead of dirt

I always figured it was for that "thawed out" look and so you wouldn't have to change many props. You can keep the rocks the same grey color, and you don't have to get rid of any of the trees. I would wager it also means people have to do less work to the skybox as well. I think people also just think Alpine is prettier than Badlands. You would know more than me though, I'm not a mapper.

I think Coldfront and Viaduct would look odd with the Badlands theme. I think Barnblitz and Snowycoast might actually look better, but I also just hate playing them either way, "pro version" or not.

#50 new valve hero shooter - Deadlock in Off Topic

oh we're all talking about playing it now so i'll do it
i played some of it myself, i just really don't like MOBAs
i liked shooting people and that's it, but i tend to just like shooting people in multiplayer games in general. the abilities and stuff just do not appeal to me. i think stuns and slows are boring, and the game has a lot of those. MOBAs just don't make much sense to me, i'd rather just shoot the guys then take a point than escort my mooks to go help me fight a bigger mook. if you're all over DOTA2 though you'll probably like it

#13 Save tf2 in TF2 General Discussion
plummousiopebut valve letting racism remarks slide in their games it would bring a far more negative publicity and force them no fix the game since we all know they dont give a fuck about the cheating part
It's well known that Valve makes most of its money from the Steam Store, and is also a private comany. This insulates them from a lot of motivation to do anything the public wants. Comparison example: You can be sexist in any CS lobby, but be banned in any Riot game.

i mean valve makes a shitton of money from microtransactions. they made like one billion from just key sales for CS last year. obviously they make the bulk from the steam store but lootbux isn't a drop in the bucket for them. they just don't give a fuck in general about anything other than their weird doodads they're working on and maintaining constant revenue sources

mousiopeBut if you say that valve does nothing about transphobic comments and that gets in the news, I'm sure valve execs got to do something about the negative publicity. In fact when the first save tf2 movement came out that was the only reason they did something...
Cmon...

i mean i guess, although i don't think it's still going to be that effective. the internal culture at valve doesn't really seem to incentivize actually working on a 17 year old first person shooter with a decently sized playerbase. which is a shame considering i think it's one of the favorite games of like every poster on this forum
