slin created the whitelist and managed to get the admins to all agree, he went behind everyone backs and sabotaged the community for his own interests,

it was tris decision to implement the whitelist for this esea season, so why not let him know that we dont like it. maybe he can stop this before its set in stone.

Some of these change they allowed are actually just mind boggling to me. What was going through the mind of these five (?!?!) people that apparently had input on this blacklist.

I'm all for a) having a universal whitelist and b) unbanning all the arbitrarily banned weapons like the Neon Annhilator and Panic Attack, but some of these newly unlocked weapons literally don't have a counter.

How do you realistically counter a Base Jumping soldier? A perfectly aimed scout shot will do like 20 damage and he'll keep full strafing speed. So are you going to run a sniper, heavy, or engineer and just slow the game down even more?

Atomizer, Cow Mangler, and Base jumper are sidegrades at the absolute worst (especially for pocket regarding the latter) and are game changing.

Others like the Beggars, Jarate, Loch n Load, and Rescue Ranger don't have as macro impact in game, but in the niche situations they would be used literally are uncounterable without running other stupid shit like full time heavy or engie and then where does the game end?

Also, Loch n Load is going to singlehandedly break viaduct week. Mark my words.

Everyone's voiced their opinions on the atomizer, but I don't think a lot of the 6s only players realize just how broken the beggars, air strike, and cow mangler will be.

Any combination of those three on your pocket & roamer will be almost a GUARANTEED force on maps like gully, metalworks, and process; they'll also significantly raise your sac %s on literally every other map.

Imagine stalemating on gully last their roamer jumps in through river with beggars/airstrike and their pocket peeks shutter or balcony with a charged cow mangler. I just don't see any realistic counter play to that. The best move a team can make is to have 2x offclass with engie + heavy/pyro but that just slows down the game even more.

The other team sacs one or possibly two, but now you also have two offclasses that are basically required or else your med dies/forces. Now you can't push out of last unless your scouts switch immediately. It's either going to make breaking stalemates really really offensive sided or make pushing out of last damn near impossible.

#34 Time for Na & Eu to start using the same ruleset ? in TF2 General Discussion

I think the switching of sides is the least of the worries/problems with ESEAs ruleset. Like Jon said it's something completely pointless and trivial, if other regions were to hypothetically adopt NA ruleset nobody would switch sides @ halftime and it wouldn't change a single thing, nor would anyone care if you didn't switch.

In general, I do think EUs ruleset is better -- it's just better logistically in every single way in terms of casts & viewership, but every player has their own preference to the rulesets depending on how they see it.

I personally prefer EU ruleset, but I fucking love the idea of a halftime. A lot of the teams I have been on have used it for halftime adjustments or just to cool our heads if needed. We've all seen the invite matches w/ 3-0 rolls at the beginning and after a halftime talk + adjustment the other team brings it back.

Saam's idea of two 20 minute halves is the perfect compromise in my eyes.
