Mr_OwlIRC works perfectly, why change it? Just don't get scrims with people you haven't heard of.

yes but those people you never heard of are gonna end up without scrims.

also after a while if the project goes well we can even go far as adding pugs, the skill level would be higher then tf2center otherwise it'll be pointless.

EDIT: think of it as a tf2pickup for NA w/ scrims added.

they don't provide a server, i'm looking to dev a client instead of a site, I mean if these sites are working fine i'll stop but it'd be nice to have everyone focus on one of them instead of having the whole community spread on different sites.

my goal is making better version of these sites that we could all use efficiently.

can't blame me for not being ambitious

lucrative(This may not be totally related to this thread but I'm gonna post here anyways)

Teams (atleast in the IM bracket) really need to go back to looking for scrims on IRC...the idea of scheduling all your games is nice but overall people play less games and when 1 team flakes out or is late, it throws off the schedule of a lot of teams involved resulting even less play time or possibly no games at all because every other team is "booked." Personally, I've scheduled scrims for the whole week, a week in advance, and teams STILL flake out and leave my team (or possibly others) without a game unless we want to play a low open team. If everyone went back to just posting in IRC when they need games, teams would get more games overall and prolly more consistent games cause of the "let's play right now" factor, making it extremely less likely for people to flake out on scrims. This is possibly just my experience with the system now but I feel like practicing was a lot better/easier when you could just get games on IRC right then and there whenever you needed

the issue with the cevo client is that when you create the scrim you need to scrim with them as soon as they challenge you, my idea is to reproduce the same thing but with a specific time.

kounterpartsseraphthe only thing the esea client is missing right now is popularity, barely no one still uses it.
if it wasnt shit people would use it

I can't really judge it since I never played on it but since people aren't satisfied with the esea client, starting that project would be a good idea, there could be different categories for different leagues.

EDIT: lots of people use the cevo client for csgo in fact pugs happen every 30 minutes, unless you're talking about cevo tf2 which is no longer a thing.

maybe esea has their own system but let's not forget about ugc, it's a pain to find a scrim there.

MamboulayIt's been tried in the past with mitigated success

http://scrim.me/
http://scrim.tf/

It's worth a try, there is nothing to lose, and it also make things a whole lot easier for lots of teams, irc has been pretty dead recently aswell.

#1 scrim concept in TF2 General Discussion

I was setting up some scrims for my csgo team on the cevo client and I though the same system would perfectly work for tf2

in a nutshell you could create a scrim with the specifications of your choice (map time etc) but you will have to give proof (team page) that you're team is in the division you mentioned so rolls and useless scrims wouldn't happen as often, you could set up a specific time and map and if some other leader who is looking for a scrim agrees with all that he clicks on the challenge option near the specifications of the team and the client would also possibly provide a server and players from both teams would click on the connect option etc etc.

I know this wasn't really detailled but I don't see why it couldn't work, it would also be helpful for most of the community.

I'm making a roamer tf2 frag movie and would like about 30 demo of plays as roamer and/or pocket in 6s, you'll be credited at the end of the frag movie, please also specify at what tick is your play.

Thanks!

SuperfuzzThe one pug I played yesterday wasn't that bad. Some people were goofing around with some unlocks (scottish resistance, panic attack, etc), but otherwise it was a decent pug. Better than a tf2center.vriskplayed a few pugs today and they were pretty fun, the games weren't rolls and there some really good people there definitely better than yesterday

Glad to hear that, keep enjoying the pugs. :)

Rainmanvriskplayed a few pugs today and they were pretty fun, the games weren't rolls and there some really good people there definitely better than yesterday
IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE. Procreative has apparently taken over the pug group. The pugs that vrisk and I played in were around mid open. Was really fun and close. Seraph had nothing to do with it anymore, to my knowledge.

me and procreative are both working on the pugs, then means I had to do with it aswell, we're still trying to enhance the pug quality, I just couldn't simply make the pug today because I was busy with irl stuff, we organized it together, but I still owe procreative a huge part of the credits for his useful help.

fatswimdudeseraphif you want to spread more rumors and trashtalk on me, do it in the dumpster or your own thread
I'll wait until you post a lfp thread for the open team you haven't made yet but still tag up for and put on your profile as experience

I didn't put on my profile that I played open, I just said I played for Elite 6, why do you even care?
