I kinda blame ESEA for that. They really didnt do the best job when they added main. Normally you have to follow a certain procedure to move teams up. When it was only 3 divisions the rules were pretty strict, but with the creation of a brand new (higher level) division they really shoulda hand picked the teams for the first season. They grabbed a bunch of open teams who didnt do so well and put them 1 step below invite. These teams are dying and main is suffering because of it. Hopefully that won't be the case next season, but ESEA really dropped the ball here.

A reasonable degree on paper, but in practice it's less useful. Clutch heals/damage are the selling point for the crossbow's use over needles, and they just nerfed it. The crossbow was exciting because it allowed the Medic to make a real contribution to the fight without pulling him away from his left clicking duties for too long. But now that contribution has been subdued significantly, and the feeling is gone. All this to presumably reign in Medic's damage output, even though there's an equally functional alternate solution that doesn't ruin the weapon at its core.

toothThis thread is unbelievable. The bottom line is that the new crossbow is better, in most situations, than the crossbow we had before all the Halloween updates(and it's not like people were complaining that the old crossbow being underpowered or anything). Like I said earlier in this thread: The old crossbow might have helped you win that crucial 1v1 after mid that happens every few rounds but with the new crossbow you can be more influential in EVERY mid fight EVERY round because you never have to take the time to reload another arrow.

tooth is right. you guys can keep having your kneejerk cryfest over the damage nerf but the fact is that it can now be used to burst heal or spam for damage every time you pull out your primary and you don't need to sacrifice even half as much heal time as you did before
