ah didnt know pugchamp players hated it, i used to do mixes on it and barely ever saw a team rejecting it and people usualy said they enjoyed it... also it got the most votes in the ETF2L map cup and positive feedback in the thread.
its not like the "new map = aids XD" players would give their feedback in the thread tho.
Koth_bagel disliked? I thought it was the most liked one in the new maps cup! Where did you get that feeling? The biggest complaint i heard from that map is that theres no transition zone.
Also warmfront doesnt really work as a koth map imo. The mid is too convoluted with that house building thing.

Granary/badlands used to be kings in the popularity contest
Now its process, and most people really dislike granary and reckoner. Product is often refused in scrims because "its just DM" - then you see open teams that have no idea how to forward hold or passive hold on that map
i think these 3 unpopular maps could be switched from time to time if a new map gets popular. In my opinion logjam was way more fun and less stale than reckoner for example.

Why is it that modern ETF2L doesn't try new maps nearly as much as before?
We have pretty much the same "staple maps" from like 4 years ago + reckoner, wich has been the only new addition in the past 4 SEASONS. We even had a nice new map cup with loads of talented mappers but not even bagel made it into rotation depsite being praised by most of the participants.
I have this small nerd text about maps being first introduced to ETF2L by group of seasons (re-introductions not counted) and you can clearly see how past ETF2L season 13 theres very few.
i hate doing -700 HP and seeing someone survive because arrows exist
sure it takes skill to hit an epic airshot with arrows but it takes no skill to stnad still for arrows, makes fights stupidly long and its so frustrating running out of ammo jesus fuck i fucking hate valve and thei retarded med ideas. fights take like 5 times longer because people hide behind something and go "med arrow me". its so fucking dumb, it looks dumb, and its so bad for game flow
