Comparison:

Here's a download to the third one for the grenade launcher, sticky and rocket launcher and with the second one for the scattergun.

#18 No explosion smoke script in Customization
ZUFESKhow do I install this? sorry I'm dumb

Just put the ctx files in your custom folder inside of a scripts folder, like this.
\tf\custom\custom_stuff\scripts

Show Content

I also found a list of different effects that you can change the things to. I used "sapper_coreflash" to make the explosion even less visible. On the scattergun you can also change the tracer effect and make it less visible as well.

#12 No explosion smoke script in Customization

So what he did was change the ctx file so that instead of the normal explosion it uses the explosion you see when a sapper explodes.
Here is his file next to the default one, you can see his is also missing the pipe damage changes since it's older.

It still works and you can still change other new files, as I have done with the airstrike here.

To do it, you need to download these files.
Then you just drag the ctx file you want to edit into the folder with the bat files and then into the decompile.bat and it will change it into a txt file that you can edit and when you are done with that just drag that txt file into the compile.bat and you'll end up with a ctx file that you can move into your custom folder. Looks like you don't need to do that, just put the txt file in your scripts folder so it's like this, custom/foldername/scripts.
I uploaded all the default ctx files that come from the scripts folder so you don't have to find them yourselves. Not sure what else you can change with doing this but have at it.

Here's a link to a list of particle effects you can change them to and test which one you like the best.

You can also use the command cl_leveloverview to get an overhead view if there is a certain area you need to see.

#1132 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization
ProcreativeKinda off topic but I didn't want to make a thread. What HUD to your knowledge uses the fewest/least complicated elements. I run on the toaster of all toasters anything removed helps ie animated health crosses/shadow on text/extra elements.

Comanglia tested a few huds for frame differences.

#2 "An issue with your computer is blocking the VAC s in Q/A Help

Here's a link to the fixes. Link.
Happens to me every time I reinstall windows. I would try all of them and restart your computers, may take more than one try for whatever reason.

He played pocket for my team last season instead of his normal roamer class.
He did well even in a different roll than he was used too.
He's cool and good, you should definitely try him out.

#4 Smart TV in Off Topic
dangoDo you know what specifically he's looking for in a smart TV? I'd bet the majority of the people buying smart TVs could save themselves $100+ if they just bought a regular HDTV and a Chromecast. I haven't personally used a Fire Stick but it's also worth checking out.

Not trying to dissuade you from a smart TV, I just get sad seeing people waste their money on them.

Don't get the Chromecast it's much different and not as user friendly as the Fire TV or Roku. If he wants to watch netflix and such I'd get one of those two instead of getting a tv with that stuff built in. Roku and the Fire TV are pretty similar in what they do, I think the fire tv is really only better than the roku if you have a prime account.

#30 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion

How did you feel about your season? What were the good and bad points?
Pretty good for a first season, felt like I have improved a lot.
What specific expectations did you have, and which ones got fulfilled? Which ones didn't?
Just really expected to have fun and get better. Didn't really expect much aside from that.
What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?
It's what I expected it to be, didn't expect our closest games to be in the first part of the season though.
Will you be playing in S19? If not, what is stopping you from playing again?
Yes.
How do you feel about how ESEA compares to other leagues?
Didn't play cevo but that's dead so can't compare, and UGC 6s is not even comparable to ESEA.
Would you recommend people to play ESEA? If so, under what conditions?
Yea, if they want to get better at playing the game and play against teams that care each week.
What's your next goal?
Find a team and make playoffs.

#33 pocket open in Recruitment (looking for team)

I've been friends with Elliott for a year or so, he's calmed down a lot since we've met.
Still gets upset at some stuff, usually in pubs or other games, but stays level headed in scrims and matches.
He's really good and if you put him on a team that won't die then he will get even better.
If you are looking for a pocket you should give this dude a tryout for sure.
