I'm at 4.2 GHz with my 3570k, hyper 212 and an ASUS board with a very small voltage increase. I think I got a poor overclocking cpu because according to this guide most people are able to hit 4.5 GHz without much trouble.

I've had my AD700s for a while now (4 or 5 years) and they still sound great but they are open-air and not particularly good at blocking noise. I've knocked them off my desk/rolled over the cord with my chair more times than I can count and they keep on trucking.

The ATH-M50S are right around your price range ($106 on amazon right now) and should block out noise better.

If you can't adjust brightness/gamma in video card settings, there's another way to do it in windows 7. Search for "calibrate display color" in the start menu and run it. Skip to the gamma setting and drag the slider until you can see things again. It will get reset every once in a while if you play other games but you can even fix it while alt tabbed with tf2 running.

The wrangler adds nothing to highlander and makes playing payload and attack/defend maps an awful experience. Winning or losing hinges on which team has better wrangler placements instead of which team has better teamwork and dm. Even if you argue that ubering your wrangler engie is somehow teamwork, not many people really enjoy playing sentry fortress 2.

I think one of the main reasons people voted to keep the wrangler in UGC highlander was because it tends to work well against teams that try to show up and dm their way to victory. Most invite players don't care to strat out a map like pl_upward to win a highlander match, and everyone else votes with this in mind.

In my experience, this is exactly how the league is...
