I still distinctly remember my first ace even after 1000 hours or whatever it's been. I think that's what draws me to CS over TF2 at this point. The good moments are so much more memorable and it just doesnt feel like a grind to me like tf2 does.

Congrats on the rank up, but you should know that at that rank your time will be MUCH better spent just getting your dm up. It's pretty doable to get to MGE/DMG on dm alone, and at lower levels your grenades won't be as effective anyways thanks to the opposing team generally being a bunch of idiots.

That's not to say that it's worthless to practice nades, just that you'll generally be better served by practicing dm.

tec9 nerf is barely a nerf at all

Yeah after playing some with some a1 users it's not that big of a deal. It doesn't seem to interfere with any of the save round meta. I use the a4 and will continue to because I usually end up holding small sites and the spam power of the a4 is v good.

Overpass changes are seriously amazing. Hopefully they take a similar approach with nuke and continue to make minor changes while keeping the feel of the map intact. Overpass has become one of my favorite MM maps.
