Might stream this thing. I've never done casting, but I have watched a good amount of Quake.
last two cups lasted around 3-4 hours. last cup got a bit delayed because people forgot it was double elimination, hopefully that doesn't happen this time :P
hello all, similar ordeal as before - another quake live duel cup :)
some things to keep in mind: this time around the cup will be played on a SATURDAY and it will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION, so that means there's a losers bracket!
The maps played will be t7, cure, ztn. Decided to keep t7 so there is less to learn with cure and bloodrun being added.
The tournament is aimed primarily at EU but if NA players choose to sign up they can. Only rule is if they face off against an EU opponent they should play on an EU server by default (unless the EU player is fine with playing on an NA one)
The tournament will be held on the 22nd of February at 19pm cet

Hello all, said I might be hosting more of these so here I am!
Pretty much the same deal with a few changes - due to complaints the tournament will have a double elimination bracket with all games being bo3. Also because the tournament is sort of short notice this time around I've decided to keep one of the maps from last cup in the rotation so there is less to learn. That map being Toxicity.
The only restriction to signing up is you have to be below 1.6k ELO in Quake Live(doesn't count for default elo in case you haven't played any duels yet). If you think your elo is inflated or some other reason why you should still be allowed to participate feel free to add me on steam so we can discuss.

i hope it was fun for the participants, i know some of the early games we're very one sided - i decided to just let fate decide the games (shuffled it on challonge). I only fixed up the NA players together so they could have some good games on equal ping. For next time I'm thinking of either fixing up the brackets manually or considering maybe having a double elimination bracket (i feel like it might last way too long)
Fanta_Addictionhi replace toxicity with aerowalk, a lot easier to learn for newcomers :]
or with house of decay maybe plz
from my experience aerowalk is more difficult to become decent at than toxicity, especially for newer players it takes a bit of time before the teleporters become second nature
in the case i host more of these (will see how this one goes) ill definitely change the mappool up so might get to see it played then :D

u can do it on qlstats or on specific servers but if u dont know how to its probably fine
just to remind you tho, this tourney is primarily eu, u might have to play with ping
