#1 Would you be in favor of a map rotation revamp? in Map Discussion

EDIT: Revived for pre season 27 map discussion

Since the conclusion of the new map cup I've been hearing alot of people chatting about the potential for some of those new maps to make it into the rotation. We have been running the exact same map rotation since season 13-15 ish (with one map being rotated out). With maps that people really enjoy playing (or seem to) and see alot of potential in like cardinal, kalinka, koth_bagel and koth_warmfront, would you be in favour of doing a major overhaul of the current map pool to include most or all of these maps?

Personally I would love to see 3 koth maps, I think having the chance to play koth only once a season seems like a weird and random situation to me (think about if CS:GO had one random Hostage map in the rotation as opposed to the regular Attack/Defend mode) and I would ether remove the mode entirely or include more maps. I think maps like badlands, granary should see their time in the rotation done as they have been included since the stone age, and I know people would like to see some unpopular maps out of the rotation (sunshine, metalworks maybe?)

I think a major map rotation revamp would be really good for "refreshing" competition per say and just bringing an overall modern and differnt feel to the upcoming seasons, and it would just be a lot more interesting to see an abundance of new maps played IMO.

example of a map list i would LOVE to see

cp_process
cp_snakewater
cp_cardinal (possibly change this one for metal)
cp_kalinka
koth_viaduct
koth_bagel
koth_warmfront
cp_gullywash

Ringo__Starrby request of aim here is the rgb/gxl kick tier list

created by a panel consisting of kev and myself (i placed kev on my own)

if you're miffed about your placement don't be too upset, most of the tf2 players I met were leagues ahead of some of the other games' players and their kicks & no one had on roast worthy shit. If you really think we have made a mistake lemme know what you were wearing on friday night/saturday night and i'll bring it to the panel for revision

if you dont see yourself i didnt meet you or i couldn't remember your shoes sorry

SpaceCadet I am pretty sure our medic Charis did tell us after that he heard the backcap call. He was the guy you tried to help with the headset/microphone problem. He didn't yell it to us because I think he said he felt it was cheap and its not like a medic can do much to stop it himself.

I totally missed that capp. Lucky cause I would have tried to stop that shit for sure and credit my gamesense. rofl

Awesome group of gamers right here, was glad to put a face to some of the guys I been playing against for so long.
luc would get really hype and be VERY loud. We were sitting right next to them and during our match in mumble:

BLANC: "Do we have add right now? What is our %?"
LOUD Lucrative "I'M AT 70%, I'M AT 70%"
BLANC: "They are at 70%"

funny shit like this was happening, made the whole experience very enjoyable.

didn't hear that backcap call though ;) hahaha

I agree some changes need to be made to make the connecting tunnels more "interesting" but please whatever you do do NOT change the mid too much. I think it's simplicity is actually quite elegant and fun and adding more shit or more dimensions to it is not always the answer. I have been dying waiting for a map that is extremely simple in its concept and allows for matches that are won based purely off of simple decision making and team execution as opposed to the norm of strategys or outsmarting opponents per say or taking 1v1 dm fights to get a pick all the time(not the right words but, it's the best I got). I really don't think the 2nd point needs to be changed much for the same reasons, a lot of people will give you criticism based on trying to get your map to play similar the ones already in the rotation as opposed to creating a unique play style of map which I think you have done beautifully here.

Playing this map was honestly one of the funnest matches I've played in tf2 over the last 9 years I've played.

Hallowis the description of it being a multicultural and international city an accurate one?

in general the big cities in Canada are, but the 3 big ones are Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Montreal is prolly a little less multicultural than the latter but still very much so.
