I created a similar automated channel a couple years ago from the stream highlights thread (although it was one clip per video, not a compilation) and it has received 126k views in the past two years, even though I turned off uploads after the first ~6 months, so there is definitely demand for something like that. I also think putting the twitch clips on youtube makes them more discoverable and thus could bring a few more people into 6v6 tf2, especially if you link the tftv thread or playcomp.tf in the video descriptions. And the channel could bring more viewers to the streamers featured in the compilations.
Also, putting other people's twitch content in a video doesn't really fall under fair use, so you probably wouldn't want to monetize this channel.
Sounds pretty good, I wasn't going to monetize it anyway and I would add the streamers twitch profiles with timestamps in the description of each video.

Yo, now that I have a bunch of time on my hands I'm thinking of building a program that parses the stream highlights thread and uploads a compilation of the best clips to youtube similar to what this channel used to do.
Would people be interested in something like this?

Basically this but for TF2Center
Ascend made me do this so blame him. This should work fine together with tf2stars for the most part although there may be some minor visual bugs for some players.
I'll add some more features in future if this quarantine shit lasts longer and I can be arsed.
edit: Actually may change this into just tf2 helper and make it an alternative to tf2stars as that is pretty outdated at the moment.

bearodactylImo you should remove the RGL prefix and just say like Invite, Adv, Main, IM, Open, etc. ETF2L div names are totally disjoint from RGL ones so if you see prem or div1 you don't need to disambiguate.
Also the pure white for people without an RGL profile or whatever is super ugly you should probably change that
edit: also you might want to make a protocol that like queries the esea database and uses that in case people don't have any records on RGL cause like marmaduke obviously played invite but evidently doesn't have rgl data

edit: Just realized that only white tag thing you were talking about, that's a bug and i'll fix it asap.

Changelog for 03/18/2020
-Removed support for AU as all the div's were extremely outdated
-Switched to RGL divs for NA players
This update was made by minicircle, all credit to him.
It may take some time for this update to go through as chrome extensions need to be reviewed now. Hopefully I'll get around to fixing EU divs soon, else the code is open source so feel free to do it yourself. :)
