We had ~3 active leagues years ago with a significantly smaller player base and to my knowledge, I don't remember that split being a concern to the community/game. Wouldn't you figure having 3 now with a significantly larger player base wouldn't be a problem?
so you're arguing that having the same game/game mode/ruleset played in 3 leagues is more beneficial than having all of those teams in the same league. ok.
That's basically how it was back then, though. I understand where you're coming from, but if it worked with a smaller player base, then it would only make sense that it would work for a larger player base.

This is implying the split would be a long term problem.
And a split isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's no reason in this scenario to look at the negatives of something otherwise positive, which in this case is giving players another, potentially better (in the future) option.
any split in a community that's playing the same game/game mode/ruleset is a bad thing. we cannot say "here's esea(or cevo, whatever), it has 120 teams" instead it's "ok here's esea, they have 70 teams, this ugc league has 30, and cevo has 20."
we aren't fucking car shopping, we don't need options, we're trying to keep a game alive. we need unity and strong leaders making sure players wants/needs are taken care of.
also, please see my post about being able to cheat your dick off in cevo and having no lan to worry about.

defianceMaking a claim that this big CEVO push is going to make the league "ultimately stronger" is pretty hilarious. We should all just throw logic out the window and not think about how splitting up the community might be a bad thing.
This is implying the split would be a long term problem.

I'm having a hard fuckin' time understanding how the motivation to keep playing because of there being a finals LAN event is worth more than making the move to a more trustworthy league that won't shit on your computer to make some extra money.
Shouldn't assisting your very own community in rebuilding and ultimately becoming stronger as a scene be more motivation to play than a paycheck? If not, then I guess it only makes $ense you'd stick with ESEA.
