tophudeleting WaveCompleteSummaryPanel.res fixes mainmenu crash for me

what destination can i find this in? a windows search with that specific filename did not bring any results.

#2 WARs demoman blog. in TF2 General Discussion

pretty cool idea - and i personally appreciate any educational content geared towards newer players.

however, i think you'd garner a lot more interest if you used video examples with voiceovers. Marxist does a stellar job with this on his youtube channel.

AG vs rent-a-homies is at 10:30. perhaps a double header ???

#14 Routing messed up. in Q/A Help

http://www.dslreports.com/forums/all

find your ISP there and make a post with all of your relevant information, including any tracert information you have already gathered. I had an issue with frequent, intermittent dropping and after literally 10+ "techs" coming out and having no idea what to do, I made a post in my ISP's specific subforum in the aforementioned link and BLAM; 3 techs came out the day after and worked from the inside out, then I got 3 months free. no problems since then.

good luck

#38 Lotus Clan Tournament in TF2 General Discussion

I talked about a potential tf.tv/pub community relationship in this post I made in a recent tf2 stream viewership thread.

I think it would be great if perhaps the semi-finals/finals could be cased on tf.tv's main stream channel. this could bring in new users, and possibly competitive players. lastly, we could advertise the Newbie Mix Anniversary happening tomorrow night.

#65 TF2 Questions Thread in TF2 General Discussion
JonesyMcFlyAs a Medic, what are some things I can do when being attacked by a roamer/scout while my team is busy/separated from me to buy some time? I know to surf rockets and strafe wildly against hitscan, but is there anything else worth doing? Are there any tricks I could use to help minimize my risk of being jumped when my team might not be able to respond fast enough?

what do you mean "to buy some time"? you should never be too far away from your pocket/team. not just for the sake of keeping you alive/protected, but also so you are efficiently building uber.

as far as tips to minimize risks- make sure an area is clear before you walk through. i.e.: on gullywash, when your team has mid and you guys are pushing through the choke to go into their 2nd point's yard -- right above choke is commonplace for a soldier to hide, in an effort to force your uber or just outright kill you. make sure your pocket/team is clearing these kinds of areas before you commit through.

was able to do some pugs today but kept crashing in a pub with the same error. updated my linear log of things I've tried to do. would love if someone else could provide any information.

#14 Dealing with Anxiety/Depression in Off Topic

If you can manage your depression without medication, you don't have a mental disorder

don't you think that's a pretty closed statement? it's been my experience that a lot of mental disorders - namely any variation of depression or anxiety - is usually more a matter of perception, lifestyle, and therapeutic inaction rather than an actual chemical imbalance, which is what medication (in this scenario, an anti-depressant) attempts to correct.

also, i'm not sure if comparing GAD/SAD to something like schizophrenia is relevant.

#5 Dealing with Anxiety/Depression in Off Topic

i'm going to assume with your aforementioned diagnoses that you have already seen a psychiatrist or another licensed mental health professional. did they recommend a course of action for you? i suspect it would include some individual therapy, which is crucial to get through these troubled times you're currently having.

working at a mental health/substance abuse treatment facility, i urge you to stay away from prescription medication if at all possible (and 9 times out of 10, it is very possible). there are a plethora of other options you can explore before getting on medication: natural supplements, changing your diet, exercising, journaling, etc.

i've seen clients from 15-70+ years old who are dependent on anti-anxiety/anti-depression medication who exhibit no real effort to make actual therapeutic progress, and instead stay wrapped up in this blanket of pharmaceuticals that tend to just numb and hollow you out.

i'm assuming you're fairly young, which is the best time to start tackling these issues. sometimes, these things go undiagnosed/untreated and end up resulting in addictions or other unhealthy habits to cope with uncomfortable feelings (like anxiety).

i applaud your self-awareness and respect your effort to reach out for help on these forums. however, just as the above poster stated, there is only so much that can be done over a computer screen.
