This is a rudimentary question but are you using the changelevel or map command ?
Pubs and Lobbies make good players worse by creating bad habits. Play them sparingly.
This is coming from the worst scout in IM. As with all dm, try and imagine what you would do in their position and play off that. Try and take into consideration their confidence. Health/buffs of both you and him and what they did in 1v1's before. In terms of just aiming and dodging, just keep practicing.
My personal rankings in terms of improving anything.
Match > Scrims > Pugs without off classing > DM server > MGE.

I have a Deathadder and a QCK rough. Love the deathadder and have had it for 5 years now. The QCK rough is a bit over the top though and my hand bled once in a ESEA match.

Why don't we give heavies a weapon that slows down enemies so its easier for them to aim because heavy needs to be more viable in competitive.
