#25 Streaming Charity Event idea in TF2 General Discussion
cabooseMarxistYou could also do a bidding war to have the highest donator in that category get mentored by x player.
Please don't.

I love the TF2 community because there are always high-level people willing to help out newbies and lower-levelled players like me improve. Bl4nk's demo reviews, Newbie Mixes, MGE, seanbud's map reviews, etc. are all fueled by their own willingness to contribute. We shouldn't monetize that and end up with a system where people will help one person over others only for money. All the other ideas sound awesome, though.

1. What Marxist said.
2. Even if we were paying money to the players themselves, that would not force a shift in how people are mentored in general.
3. This could be a really effective way to raise money. There are so many new players to the scene that would probably be willing to donate to charity in order to get a high level mentor.
4. Imagine how much people would "bid" to have b4nny mentor them!

#1 UGC Plat HL Looking for backups in Recruitment (looking for team)

My team Ghetto Afterthought is looking for some backups.

Roster:
Deadbolt - Scout
Sneaky - Soldier
L4wnflamingo - Pyro
Sweater - Demo
Tom Waits - Heavy
Sazeman - Engy
Bondook - Medic
Revels - Sniper
Finndy - Spy

Backups:
Remedy
Fennec
Nukeydog
Crossfire (maybe)
You??

Shoot me an add at http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198046177462/. You honestly won't need to play very often. If you have other stuff going on (6s or RL) that is totally fine. We just end up needing ringers due to our team's ESEA/CEVO/Real life obligations. Have some platinum level experience please.

#18 Hippo LFT Demoman in Recruitment (looking for team)

An incredibly strong demo. He consistently gets to mid faster than others and has the DM to back up his plays. A good pickup for mid IM.

#65 Ban dflame from #tf2.pug.na Petition in TF2 General Discussion

Maybe a c-restrict is in order, but not a ban.

This is honestly just bullying. I have played with dflame and personally I don't love him, but I don't shittalk or troll him even when I have a chance. He has improved from how he once was, and honestly is no worse than most people in the community. I have seen "well liked" people who break defined rules get no punishment, and to attempt to ban dflame is just an attempt by people who don't like him to feel vindicated or something.

IMO it shouldn't matter if it gets 100 or 100,00 signatures; you shouldn't punish someone for not being liked.

#23 Steam Community Market in TF2 General Discussion

I sold an energy kabuto for a few hundred a while back. It's pretty cool, if you can get there just by trading and shit and then end up with a few hundred dollars. If you don't enjoy trading then yeah it is definitely not worth the time, but I personally find it kind of fun, so to me it feels like free money.

inb4 "u tradr faget" I donated half the sale to mix^ lan fund.

I could use some help with a few aspects of my game. Maybe demo reviews but also just like advice on what I should be doing. I especially need help on middles. Add me or link your steam profile for me to add you. Thanks!

#17 WhitePowerJesus LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Wtf is up with these minus frags. WPJ is a smart player with some serious DM to back his plays up. Pick this guy up on any class if you are looking to do really well in your division.
