#5 Need help on determining gfx card compatability in Hardware
LazyPandaDoes your power supply have the required wattage for the graphics card?
Do you have a motherboard?
Does your motherboard have a pci slot? (Here is a hint - Yes)

Congratulations! You can use that graphics card with your tower!

Seriously though yes it will fit and all be compatable

that's not how it works with prebuilt computers, specially since they ususally have very small cases

#5 Where can I contact Orange (creator of PREC)? in TF2 General Discussion

if you do actually get it together, please add a makefile so there's the option to compile it yourself

Your musical compatibility with SweetLikeGravy is Medium

Music you have in common includes Slagsmålsklubben, Detektivbyrån, Pendulum, Madvillain and The Lonely Island.

#3 Lag Help in Q/A Help

the problem is probably that you have two graphics cards.

if you're not doing anything graphically intensive it will use the intel onboard to save power and battery time, and it'll switch to the other card when doing something graphically intensive. if you don't ever move your laptop and just have it plugged in to the wall socket I'd recommend switching power profiles to high performance or something like that

#2 how to disable the black borders in stock hud in Q/A Help

21:00 <@omp_> truktruk: the new update made some change in Spectator.res i believe
21:00 <@omp_> truktruk: and when a file is changed in an update, it is deleted from the local hud files
21:01 <@omp_> truktruk: hence why you have those borders now
21:01 <@omp_> truktruk: you should be able to just copy that file back in

joraneyWith my little experience with mechanical keyboards, I must ask.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823201052

Do people think that this is a good one?

you probably don't want blue switches if you're going to play a lot of games, you'd probably want browns/reds/blacks

#47 tf2 on lunix in TF2 General Discussion

so if you're playing tf2 and you're missing custom huds, broeselhud works out of the box like it would on windows.

paulitoIf we're plugging linux distros then I'll just say crunchbang is where it's at for rookies who realize that ubuntu is awful but don't want to make the jump to something more difficult yet.

I've had some trouble installing steam on it though. Something about the .deb being x86 and my computer being x64, which makes sense, but I don't know how to fix it. If Valve would implement 64 bit versions of their things that'd be pretty neato.

I don't know if the version of aptitude crunchbang runs has multilib support, but you download 32-bit libraries on a 64-bit system by doing apt-get install package:arch
