i very much agree with sac's sentiment. i grew up in a multi-national immigrant community where "racism" was commonplace and we got along and intermingled just fine. it was more used to banter and make jokes rather than discriminate and undermine. sure, sometimes someone would take it too far but others were quick to correct them because we knew what line should not be crossed. it seems this nuance is entirely lost in more homogeneous communities and, especially, on the internet.

basically it's a bunch of people that think they are morally superior dishing out bans because it makes them feel like they are contributing to society and ushering us into the sponsor friendly golden era of competitive tf2 but the most experienced of us know the ship has sailed so what you have left is a bunch of people doing busy work and patting themselves on the back because it feels good–all at the expense of the community.
