wait another point, theres no tf2 on friday except to watch nerds duke it out for cevo p in person?
you should change the gxl dates from friday/sat/sunday to just sat then... like why did i just book a 3 day weekend hotel from friday to sunday if i can literally only show up saturday with a pc for the day and leave that night.
You have 16 teams of 6 ~96 players + cevo ~ 24 players = 120 player maximum
You have 156 paid up already whith another 2 months until registration so lets assume another 40 people pay up and show up bringing your total attendance to 200 roughly, maybe more.
That leaves ~80 players unable to participate in the tournament which is only happening on the Saturday?
I think you need to reevaluate your position here... do you want a CEVO P final on LAN to take up an entire day of a 3 day weekend, or do you want 200 players to have a nerd out weekend on LAN for 2 and a half days.
People are literally going to show up Friday, stand around, get knocked out Saturday early since they have to play against the winners of CEVO P in a k/o tournament they can't possibly win, and then just chill around and watch.
Players flying in from Europe and all over the US for potentially 1-2 full hours of tf2 on 1 day of the 3 with a 20$ per person buy-in.
Help me understand this. Not trying to be difficult, just being real.
The reality you're setting up here is 200 people coming to PA Friday night to watch 4 teams theyve seen play a million times play TF2 live for no incentive other than potentially getting drunk then having them wake up to lose to those 4 teams they just wasted the night watching...
The concept of allowing the full CEVO P teams to play in the buy in tournament seems almost as ridiculous as making people play $20 a head for potentially 3 games of TF2.
Now everyone who isnt in CEVO P can compete for 5th place and the top 4 teams that just won money from CEVO can win more money from the rest of the people who attended to play for 2-3 hrs max and watch them.
or am i wrong?
