obe_In response to the topic brownymaster linked, this was recently brought up for the purpose of being able to fit "tf.tv/[user's name here]" into their steam name. "______ | teamfortress.tv/______" alone takes up 19 of the 32 characters available for a steam name, meaning only people with a <7 character long alias can fit their alias, a separator, and a link to their profile in their steam name.
It'd just be a nice luxury. If it's overly expensive or too much work (and apparently it is) then it's no biggie to drop it.
that's at best an extremely impractical possibility
