Should I buy a mechanical keyboard?

Mechanical keyboards make less of a difference in FPS then RTS or other games.
A mech vs rubber dome in SC2 for example makes a huge difference where as my skill didn't change in TF2 at all when I switched.
Also if you type a lot, it makes a HUGE difference...
One thing too, if you get a clicky one make sure your roomate/parent whatever is ok with the sound because its loud.

reillyI spent a day looking for a keyboard but I haven't had any luck, hopefully someone here can help me. Also I'm Canadian so that's probably my issue.
Looking for a TKL, with brown switches (or red if I'm desperate enough). I'm hoping to spend somewhere around $100, all I've found so far though is around $150 + shipping.
Bonus points if I can pick it up in a store in Ottawa and save on shipping.
CMStorm Rapid TKL, Ducky TKL, etc should all be in the 100$ range.
