#13 VAC Help in Q/A Help

i get it when my internet's being a total bitch and dropping packets/making half of my stuff not connect to the internet.

Do you have stable internet or does it just fix when you restart steam regardless?

#73 Interp Toggle Exploit in TF2 General Discussion
TwilitlordFearlessThere's been a new update to CS:GO which fixes this issue. I guess it'll be pushed to us soon.
CSGO update only allows interp changes when not playing so GG switching hitscan/projectile interps if it comes to us.

first hud that's actually made me break my pvhud/m0rehud exclusivity. I really love the no-boxes version layout and the fact it's a new hud with plain sans-serif fonts that don't look out of place/weird as fuck with tf2 man!

#20 Pug's: Microphone required? in Q/A Help

man, you don't need a mic for pugs over here. someone rents a server, makes a steam group announcement somewhere with the connect string, people join up and invite mates. the only communication used generally is if people in a mumble share the string then fuck around and talk about silly shit.

Mostly they're not too serious but occasionally you get a really interesting game of both teams trying to work together and win with barely a word of communication beyond "pop"

kaidusTFTV is the most popular casting service for both european and american tf2.

dayum, didn't realize how fucked vtv are for viewership/popularity now.

#210 Dear TF2 Community in TF2 General Discussion

I always felt that the reason you'd have both organisations casting is because it has the top teams from both scenes. If epsilon were sent over from europe to attend an esea lan (which doesn't really make sense due to seedings from the season itself but whatever it's an example), and vanillatv tried to cover the entire thing, without tftv/esea orange, people would be a little miffed too.

I would agree that tftv would have a higher production cast of i49 and it would probably end up much larger and better than what it will with vtv, but that's not going to happen. While I understand that due to 'creative differences' they won't work together for the foreseeable future, a temporary merge just for casting and streaming would've been the best thing for i49.

#34 CPMA in TF2 General Discussion
yukigrapefrom my experience the best .exe for cpm is quake3e (http://edawn-mod.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7), it has fewer problems with resolution/aspect ratio, the mouse input is a lot better, and it actually gets updated

also helpful commands:
- to make your xhair on 16:9 not be stretched, use cg_crosshairsize (n*3)x(n*4) for any n, e.g. 21x28
- r_mode -1; r_customwidth 1920; r_customheight 1080; r_fullscreen 1 for custom resolutions
- https://www.dropbox.com/s/pzaklzcsun1hp42/grape.cfg there's my cfg, it has basically all of the commands you need and quite a few more

User Interface is version 3, expected 6. Installed CPMA from the site, got the pak for tyler's link and tried to use that exe.

rip

I used challengequake3 with no issues.

meblearn the following maps:

cpm22 aka aerowalk
cpm3a
cpm24 aka phrantic

others that we play:

pukka3tourney2 aka toxicity
cpm15
hektik_b3
ztn3tourney1

cpm16 is also a popular 2v2 map. ztn on cpm physics though?

KhakiAre there a whole lot of differences between QL and CPMA? and,

Is there true bunnyhopping in CPMA?

full air control, increased speed gained from strafejumping, instant weapon switch. This doesn't sound like much but it makes the game far faster than ql and the way it's played/postioning changes drastically.

also cpma's pretty much free considering the amount of pak0's that are on the internet compared to ql's limited maps if you're free.

Ofc ql is a more active game and you'll be able to play without organising pickups/duels with people. Australia's pretty bad, we've only got about ~20 people who frequent #promode.au

#35 stalemate timer in TF2 General Discussion

why would we want to lower the stalemate timer and thus cause constant forced pushes because if teams play passive (which is fine) then the round just has to restart. you'd get constantly gayed because of it (like when you're about to cap last when the end of half timer goes)

you can download earlier versions of tf2 off valve's servers apparently using depotdownloader. Not exactly sure how to do it, but it's possible.
