#7 rollout demo? in TF2 General Discussion

Health kit at 9:47 is considered fast. 9:45 is average and you shouldn't be arriving any slower. You are collecting kit at 9:40. Work on your speed.

1. Leaning toward water-cooling.
2. Still unsure if I should overclock.
3. I'd like to get 140 fps+ constant at 1080p in Source engine games.

#2332 PC Build Thread in Hardware

I'm looking to build a gaming system with potential streaming capabilities. I need a build within grounds of a $2400 AUD budget, 250GB SSD / no HDD needed. Needs to be minimal noise, requires a graphics card that can accommodate for 2 monitors running above 144hz, I want to overclock. Games typically run would be TF2, Grand Theft Auto V, Rust. Thanks!

What about a CD/DVD drive?
I can't really do noiseless on that budget, but it should be fairly quiet anyway.
SSD size? 120 or 250GB?

CD/DVD: Yes.
Noise: Fairly quiet is fine.
SSD: 250GB.
Max budget: $550.

I want a build for work. The build would be for simple operations like browsing the web, checking emails or writing documents. I would place emphasis on an reliable, fast performing solid state drive. I'm looking for a build that uses a strong CPU and a PSU that conserves energy where possible. High performance around the operating system would be key as well as reasonably noiseless operation and to some degree an energy saving factor. A monitor is not required nor is an internal hard drive or OS. Budget is $550 AUD.

#16 I need help with scout v soldier in Q/A Help

Have the right gear. A solid computer, mouse, monitor are the essentials.
Have the right attitude - Be detached, free of outcome dependence, always have the intent to improve, avoid being nasty to people in chat, openly attempt to learn from every experience.

Efficiency is key.
Attack the opponent at every opportunity.
Don't consistently hold S and retreat / hide when you are low.
Challenge yourself regularly and try to win duels when you are on the back foot.
Learn how you individually play under pressure.
Play with intent but stay careless of victory or defeat.

As for Scout vs. Soldier:

Movement is big here.
Vary distance with W and S rather than just using A and D in front of the opponent.
Soldiers will struggle with depth more than they will with just lateral movement.
Don't abuse objects but use them when necessary to get height advantage.
Soldiers will find it slightly more difficult when they can't just shoot the ground.
Show no respect, play aggressively and time your shots.
