With that rant over the most famous two I can think of that funded a bunch of tournaments that I want to find and include would be from Angel and Catman seeing how the both funded a lot of tf2 with I think Angel doing work for TFC at cpl unless it was a different angel. The smaller leagues for each region would be great to include if I knew where to look I know that the French scene had a league that ran for over 25 seasons with many different divisions and even prizepools. The amount of websites I found that had writers that talked about tf2 as a esport was amazing and helped me find out so much detail on the scene of course I could say the obvious being vanillatf2 but gotfrag, tfhq, communityfortress and many more to include which can be found in my profile link at the bottom.

Asia: I could start and talk about how for TFC there was a WCG for Singapore that gave out a small prize fund then for another lan event had a bigger prizepool but not much I could find on it I just want to know that someone out there knows about it. With the starhub I feel like getting the results from the playoffs is the only thing missing and crazy that it happened and no one really knows about it since it happened in 2011. I’ve tried to include the early seasons of asiafortress and keep up every season of regular and highlander, I would love to go into doing the respawn league however it’s another thing on the list of everything to do.

Australia: this will be short because it’s basically the early ozfortress events and the lanslide events which were 2v2 most times. I would just want to see more information on players and alternative names because a lot of players have been here for a long time and the scene is very deep and amazing to see. With just needing scores and rosters when I would make the pages but it’s just too much and just needed to keep on one thing at a time is the thing.

Brazil: I would just write out the early seasons of LBTF with results and rosters but it’s just too much to ask since so much of it has been lost or I’m just not looking in the right place but I want to show and provide all the results and achievements that everyone has had. Since I know there are players who still play who have been around for a long time. With Brasilfortress being the new provider of amazing competitive tf2 for the region.

At the end the maker of logs.tf is the reason why I have been able to have so much knowledge and help, if you know the context of some logs ids you can find a lot of great and amazing games and I’m glad it exists and I want to donate to keep it alive for the scene. I would say a sappy end with thanking all of the editors on the site with that it’s up to day with me being able to go back and fill out so much of the history of tf2, I’ve made so many pages over the past 2 years and I just want to keep improving the website and adding more information to help inform people about the history of different players. It’s sad to think because I wasn’t around to know that the BTS lan never happened because the Asia/Oz team most of the players from that team still play and seeing the poLANd coming up again reminding me of the past and wanting to ask for help in my mad rambling hopefully I got some kind of message across and if you want to know more about the deep working of the past my user page is a mess but it shows a lot of different links to pages that could tell you alot about different times in tf2 as a esport

Hello everyone I’m making this long post to ask for help from everyone from the past, present and from regions all over the world. Even though I am not a player by any means I have for the past 2 years learned a lot about many different eras and leagues and made many pages trying to document and update so many pages because a lot of them have been missing information or rosters, classes, dates, and results. Many pages I’ve updated from all the way back when tf2 esports started to today and I want to ask for information on things not made because the reason I feel that there isn’t a lot of videos on tf2 esports like cs would be is because a lot of the information isn’t documented as well and I have found through the wayback machine as my resource. So I want to ask for specifics and call upon every region and background to talk about this because I want to include a lot more so I’ll go each section and ask for information or what people would think on subjects because a lot of people may not know a lot about this and some of the past but I’m not connected to the tf2 scene I just am a onlooker.

So I’ll go into each region in some ways and talk about different leagues and tournaments that took place that I would need help with.

North America: I want to start with North America because there is so much I can say and want to add but the information out there is limited from the beginning to now. To start with the first iteration of cevo aka cyber evolution which the Liquipedia originally did not list the original season the website legit-proof.com being my best source along with gotfrag since the cevo site on the way back machine can only do so much. I have added the first season of cevo and have a few more on my personal profile and haven’t gotten to it because I don’t know how credible the rosters on the website are. Which goes into the early GXL lans since there were some in 2009, 2011, 2013 events which I have started but will need help with results and teams since there’s only a little I could find with gotfrag. I would ask about the sol cal lans of 2015 but just another thing I just never get around to and the amazing website logstf helps out so much with looking for information from that era of tf2. I’m very thankful for QEL, horse run and colligate for running smaller tourneys/ more opportunities to players in the newer age of tf2 it’s sad there wasn’t another pugcup after the first one that G6 won. This goes into how in Europe over the years they had a vibrate scene with different opportunities and cups to win some money or experience. I feel like the money was alot deeper and meaningful in Europe after the death of Esea and I have done so much to improve and add to the open and intermediate tiers of Esea and after a point I just stopped because of so many people have changed their names even the people who made the open and intermediate, sometimes didn’t get it always correct because Esea doesn’t write team names correctly. After finishing this I forgot to include the early TFC and tf2 events of CPL and CGS with the two or three 8v8 TFC tournaments I’m sad that most information is lost or because the Liquipedia is only for tf2 I want to broaden it to tell the stories of earlier tf history. With CGS I have made the true playoffs even the dates just I would need the roasters lists that I’m missing, the iconic part of CGS was the next day or the day after the tf2 finals online, CGS closed its doors which is a strange fact.

Europe
There is so much I could say about Europe but I’ll stick to going through the history of different tournaments, including all the early seasons and some changes to lineups for early ETF2L. Ill stick to the obscure stuff like about why the French scene was so strong for so long, well did you know about the French tf2 circuit that was around even though it was for other games as well there weren’t that many pages talking about it on liquipedia the main French one would be gamers assembly and GA’lloween but there were many more that gave out point to teams so they would qualify to a final. Even though I make it sound better than it was a picture I saw with one fan in the audience for the tf2 game was the give away why it wasn’t known that much. The amount of French LANs that happened in the early days just because other esports were around made the French scene very deep seeing some players who would go on to be big players from the small LANs is a nice story that would be nice to tell. Hopefully I have included some results to players you knew because I want to include gamers assembly of 2010/2011 but the scores have been lost to time. Now the Uk events, Insomnia/ UKESA the later I have found the results for the lan match so for the regular season I would want to know if played for the full salary that the league gave out because it looked like they gave out £700 per team that completed the first season of the league for a total of £4,900 along with the prize money of the top 3, the two other tournaments they ran included the finals being on LAN which sadly I can’t find the vods for but would love to see the matches just have scores and players. With insomnia another uk based lan event I have added as much as I could to playoffs matches with adding more for the earlier insomnias I would want to find the group stage played and results since its limited out there. With that said having rosters changed and updated since most of them I used etf2l as my base for classes and teams. With the Finnish scene the results roasters and all for the assembly LANs and wishing they continued which caused the trend of tf2 is dead in 2011. They even have their own insomnia event they ran you can find it which I made on Liquipedia I just which I could find the rosters for the teams which didn’t do as well since it’s just Finnish players. With the ESL league with the site shutting down last year which in my head I’m the reason they did because of how many pages I dug through to add every qualifier for every ESL season and results with scores in the group stage to playoffs because it was a big deal when it happened. I would have wanted to get to the 6on6 which is basically the free/open league ESL use to run along side the major series and even ran another season after that major series closed with catman funding it. I’m sad that I missed out on the qualifiers for the ESL nation cup is all but I can get by it seeing how it looked like the qualifiers weren’t filled with country’s. I would just want someone to explain season 6 points ranking that qualified a couple of teams I think it’s just because so many teams dropped from the league even inviting teams I believe from the minor league. Now for the small cups esportsheaven, Dignitas cups, Alienware cups, essentials.tf along with the leagues for each country I would want players to help me I’ve added so much to most cups adding on what was there and wanting to include so much more seeing how so many players in those cups would go on to be great players but would be in the first two rounds before getting knocked out. I just want the information to be put out there because seeing a etf2l match basically causes the downfall of etf2l season 9 because they played in a Alienware cup which they scheduled their match on that day which was a butterfly effect about that game.
