Can't connect to valve virgina servers

Anyone else have this problem? I've tried searching online but i still can't find a fix. When i go on quickplay, it wont show any Virginia servers, and then if i look in the server list, i can find Virginia servers, but i can't join them, it just says "server not responding" even though the server would be 80% filled. It's pretty frustrating since any other valve servers give me >100 ping.
edit : it does seem like if i wait long enough, i can join the server but half the time it won't join even if i'm sitting there for 10 minutes.
