#21 TF2 Pro League announced in News

The only thing i'm afraid of is that there are so many tiers! Take for example TF2Center, the biggest lobby system atm: at best it has around 5 lobbies per geographical area (that's a number i made up, but i think it's reasonable).

Try splitting that into 4 tiers: it still may take ages to fill up a certain tier lobby & start :\ I'm genuinely afraid we are too small for such an awesome project. I really hope i'm wrong tho

b4nnyadyskyIs the party still limited to 2 players? Or is it a captain based draft nowThe 6v6 matchmaking will be solo queue only so there is no guarantee you will be able to team with your friends. Your best bets will be to either be captain and pick them yourself or ask your captain nicely to pick them. We are considering future options that will be more suitable for partying up but for now it will be solo only.

Just like PugChamp then. People should have no problems shifting from one to the other.

An option that i think was cool and used by TF2Pickup.net is that the medics can choose one player to stay with.

#13 Rewind II G-R2: Se7en vs. Ascent in Matches
ShearsI gotta say, the 3rd person cams are amazing for larger teamfights. I feel like I'm much better able to understand what the fuck happens during midfights especially since they tend to involve both teams saccing players at once.

Like, on process, there was a moment where Ascent was holding 2nd against a 7 push and the camera went into 3rd person. Marmaloo bombed in towards choke and then strafed away towards sewers, and from the 3rd person cam I could see that he drew the attention of most of the 7 players towards him and pulled them away from Raymon, sitting in choke. That opened it up for Sigh to bomb in and take him down on mid. Really cool being able to watch tactics unfold like that, great job by the production team so far honestly.

Yeah that was PERFECTLY captured! Awesome production.
The joystick really gives smooth transitions too. Something we'd miss if it was done with mouse & keyboard

ZestyYou'd also have to be careful about conserving volume between the cylinder and the cuboid because it has a pretty significant effect on whether your directs/pipes hit or not.

More the volume, i'd say the projections (and on 2 dimensions out of 3 that's easy with a cyilindrical hitbox). But either way if a change like this happened i'd be more then glad to sacrifice bit of my muscle memory in exchange.

Speaking of making this a doable, i'm not so negative. It's not an hard work on Valve's behalf and i guess that if we persevere on demanding a fix like we did for demo det bug, then eventually they'll work on it

EDIT: are we sure that what allows to wallbug is the vertex of the parallelogram and not the corner too? Otherwise having a cylinder wouldn't fix it either (there is still a corner between the base and the height). Pills hitbox would be the only choice, but i'm afraid that would break many good things in jumps such as edge bugs, bounce, slides (?),..

This is one of the many times i wish Team Fortress 2 Beta was still used by valve for testing mechanics for future updates... Otherwise we can still test it on Team Fortress 2 Classc (the open source community project) and see how a change of the hitbox would affect the game

Zestyriotbzim almost convinced its because of thisA lot of weird stuff happens on the diagonals of collision hulls.

fixing this wouldn't even be hard to do. Other games (such as Reflex Arena) work around with capsule hitboxes instead of parallelepiped ones. Prolly even a cylindrical one would be an improvement
