How do I remove it?

steam -> steamapps -> username -> team fortress 2 -> tf -> cfg -> scout.cfg

Add this line:
r_drawviewmodel 0

This will turn off viewmodels for primary, secondary and melee weapons. If you want to just turn it off your primary or primary/secondary, you should probably go here:
http://clugu.com/tf2mate/

That website makes config files for you based on what you want and all you do is put it in your tf folder.
However, that website has a LOT of customization options other than crosshairs, so if you want to just change the viewmodels/crosshairs, you could try broesel's crosshair switcher.

But ultimately, you'll do fine without messing with crosshairs/viewmodels. All you really need is a custom hud and fov 90 and you're good to go. Also chris's config that someone mentioned above if you want high frames/your computer can't handle tf2/etc.

What do you mean turn off viewmodels for scout?

and thanks, I will look at it.

On default, you can see your scout's gun, just like in other FPS's where you can see the gun you're shooting. Turning that off so all you have on your screen is a crosshair makes it easier to aim. I'm pretty sure most people will agree.

Also turn viewmodels off for scout.
And you could always try broeselhud, it comes with an installer that does everything for you.

#1 Pocket LFT ESEA-O in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello, I'm chimpoo.
UPDATE: I'm still looking to play Pocket for a low-mid ESEA open team this season.
Please, any teams still looking for a starting pocket HMU for tryouts. I'm usually available weeknights if I'm told ahead of time that I need to be online.

I rang for Zaboomacrew last season for scrims but as scout.
I don't have any experience actually playing soldier for a team yet, but I play 6s PUGs often.

Updated original post to be more concise.

Here's some threads that showcase UGC at its finest. First is the original thread I made:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2hbb1y5g1ty1urh/UGC%20Forums%20-%20Division%20Change%20Request.htm

And here's more:

EDIT: Forgot to say, I was never sorry for posting all this here. Treat this as a customer service complaint.

It's the whole "record history" thing they are basing their entire argument on when they choose not to move teams. They won't consider massive roster overhauls simply because of whatever record the team had last season.

I tried dealing with this issue internally for over a month. There's a tipping point that compelled me to make all this public. And I disagree that you think my argument is illogical.
And it's not really their strict guidelines that bother me; it's that when I asked the admins "What can I do to be put in Gold" over a month ago, I was never informed that it wouldn't happen simply because of the whole previous record rule. But they pull this technicality on me AFTER they made their decision, not before when I asked admins numerous times about our team. If I had been told that our previous record would have been an issue, I could have just created a "new team" page and avoided all this.

When I made my post, I honestly didn't care that my post wasn't going to be classy. I wasn't trying to make myself look good here; I was trying to make UGC "look bad" by showing that UGC was wrong and unprofessional with how they dealt with our situation, even if that means I'm going to be un-classy and post private chats and whatnot.

And responding to rawrspoon regarding making a new team, I doubt that would have made a difference because the UGC admins hold a grudge against certain members of our team. Actually, I think in one of the chats I posted, they said if I made a new team it wouldn't have made a difference. Too lazy to check through them again.

Even if making "a new team" would've placed us in gold, that's such a stupid technicality.

Also, with what rawrspoon said about his team being allowed into silver; this proves UGC is terribly inconsistent with dealing with division requests.

Just had our first and last scrim with retro (Gold division team) on process, lost 0-3 before their team had to go. Some of our guys threw out the idea that we just not play if we have to face even better teams in Platinum. I'll try to provide logs.
BTW, retro isn't even in people's predictions for top 5 in gold division this season, according to the posts in the prediction thread on UGC forums. So what does that make us?

I hope CEVO is really successful with their first season, and hopefully they try starting highlander again.
