#1 youtuber NED, please un-delete your account in Videos

there was a youtuber by the name of ned who occasionally uploaded tf2 rocket jumping clips among other things. apparently he deleted his account today and that really sucks because he uploaded his own song. in fact, it was his most recent upload. i really liked it and when i went to listen to it again today, i found that i couldn't because he deleted his account as mentioned previously. i'm not aware of any tf2 rocket jumping forums so this is the best place i could think of to post this. please un-delete your account, that "i've reached the top" song is awesome.

#7 questions about 6s team size and more in TF2 General Discussion
DarkNecridYour argument is flawed from the start.

Just because other e-sports use a specific low number of players due to their gameplay design does not mean that going to that number of players is necessarily better in Team Fortress 2.

Real sports have a massive variety in the amount of players they employ and they're all pretty popular.

You pick player counts based on what works with the overall game. This would be like saying "hey American Football, Soccer, and Field Hockey all use 11 players, why doesn't Basketball use 11 players??"

Valve has specifically balanced things due to competitive very few times. (#2 is incorrect, they've done it before in the past and said as such publicly) But again, it's very VERY few times in 10 years. It's not worth betting on them doing it more until they actively do it more.

wasn't saying we are wrong to use 6, i was asking why the difference existed at all and IF people think we should use a different amount.

#1 questions about 6s team size and more in TF2 General Discussion

so most competitive games have a team size of 5 but tf2 has 6. how did we end up with the extra player? were we right to reach this conclusion? what makes say, 4s or 5s less good? if bans were lifted, what would players likely gravitate towards in their team formations and strategies? i've always had the nagging feeling that tf2 competitive should totally gravitate towards what is most effective, rather than banning broken things for stalematiness or whatever other problem. on one hand competitive might be a bit more shit but on the other hand maybe valve would put some more effort into balancing the weapons rather than not doing anything for the longest time, since players would be subjected to the poor balancing.

#3 does se7en/crowns still have 7 players in TF2 General Discussion
TsarbucksNo. the se7enth man is kaido. But he's only allowed to talk to them during pre-game and halftime.

thank god. i never found out if they did something about his "coaching" until now.

i haven't been playing close attention lately. is that still a thing that's allowed?

#64 Ways to discourage stalemating in 5cp in TF2 General Discussion

the solution needs to be thought of from the perspective of tf2 as a whole, and not just the 6s meta. points cap faster but cap progress can be instantly reverted by defenders, so attackers AND defenders need to both be stronger. cut down max cap time to 5 minutes so if a team wants multiple chances, they can't sit around forever. in the end though half of the class roster is built around stalemating so that needs to be changed.

#15 should "coaches" (aka extra maincallers) be banned in TF2 General Discussion
funhaver1998i don't think it's such a huge advantage that it would sway the results of the lan. a normal team with 6 people in mumble can have clustered comms, imagine having 7. i watched one of haffi's streams with kaidus comming and it was pretty hectic and harder to follow, think of highlander.

another thing you'd have to realize that if kaidus wasn't the coach, kaidus would be the demoman and no offence to spudd, crowns was better with kaidus on demoman, but at the cost of his health, is that a disadvantage? of course it is. i didn't see any threads about kaidus wrist which clearly hinders his play especially that he has to play for hours and hours in a difficult lan environment. please stop making threads about this and just accept the results.

i said before that you can't say for certain if crowns would have won without kaidus coaching. the point of this is to talk about the future of competitive tf2.

#12 should "coaches" (aka extra maincallers) be banned in TF2 General Discussion
Kaptainhello i get it no one likes coaches and we didnt deserve win please stop making more threads aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

never said you're bad or anything but a 7th person is an objective advantage cut and dry. would you win without kaidus? don't know and never will, but the fact remains that it's a resource that other teams don't have access to.

i would say yes. not everyone can afford to fly a coach around, and it gives the team with a coach an advantage by allowing the players to focus almost entirely on DM and following instructions. yes this is in response to crowns winning.
