WingmannZestyThese are honestly the best resources for playing soldier that exist to this day. Game was played very differently then but the demo reviews pretty much teach u fundamentals and how u should be thinking which is way more valuable than stuff thats specific to a particular era.
Really wish there was more Invite/Prem roamer content on youtube. I've rewatched Seagull's demo reviews sooo many times, it's great.
- posting seagull link again in case anyone hasn't seen them: playlist
- nuze's video on Seagull is really good if you haven't seen it (link
- b4nny has a few demo reviews of blaze (metalworks, product, badlands) which were really good, as well as some of shiki which are solid (process, gullywash)
- Slin's videos are pretty good too, he did demo reviews of aim, rolling, rando, lansky, and tagg. bonus video that I haven't watched
- Boink/techno/rando did some drunk demo reviews mad long ago, probably not as helpful but entertaining nonetheless (yankee, shlaner).
- Techno did some fundamentals of roamer which still hold up (double soldier bomb/medic mindgames for sure): counting rockets, midfights overview, hiding spots, hiding spots 2, midfights 2, medic mindgames, double soldier aggression
- jayhyunpae used to have a video with more up to date hiding spots but I guess he took it down. Has one demo review of pyxelize playing soldier though (haven't watched myself): link
- saam did a review of kryptonite back when he was in IM link
- YouMustMike was a scout/medic primarily but did a LOT of demo reviews, many good soldier ones if you dig through (link)
- Marxist had some solid videos more geared towards beginners such as the 10 precepts of pocket (WAY old now but some of the stuff is still relevant).
Jump exile did that to me too and he also made some terrible jump maps. I hope he loses and smells (bad)
avril 14th & alberto balsam are sick tracks
that one day ill play another class and free myself from medic prison
dbkwatch demos/streams of higher level soldiers and think about why theyre doing what theyre doing
blaze's decision making/timing is immaculate u can def learn a lot from watching him
seagull had a few demo reviews on youtube which were pretty good albeit a much different meta of the game
YariThe Metamorphosis, Amerika, and The Judgment by kafka are fun reads.
lolguy and me on double spy is a recipe to go undefeated in invite, howard can hold the line on medic prison
holysh1t a marxist cast in 2020???? my dreams have come true

Just to chime in a little bit more in response to daf, I'm fairly sure you can manually upload maps to serveme. You may need premium but before a season starts it's a reasonable thing to assume that admins found someone who can upload the version of the map that will be required. Not a big issue though by any means it was just confusing because the version changed a bunch due to adopting new changed versions of the map mid season I think (correct me if I'm wrong though). In my opinion you should keep the map pool set in stone and make sure it's fully accessible before the season starts so it's an even playing field, but there's argument to be made that fixes and such can be adopted on the fly.
The thing about witch hunts was not necessarily that the admins were the ones doing it, the problem is that if it is only done on the basis of user submitted complaints there will be a natural tendency for people to submit complaints against people they don't like and things will end up very biased. The thing of it is that admins need to take every submission with a grain of salt and take into account the underlying motivation behind it. But I think restricting to only matches (or potentially very egregious cases in scrims) will solve the issue as anything in an official match is definitely fair game.
Didn't see the decision until now but makes sense about Dorsia, definitely a more fair way to do things than penalizing one team that started late for no reason and not the other. Feel like it will be chaotic and annoying to make up the missed matches for these teams but hopefully nobody has to play more than 3 matches a week to amount for it.
