The 120Hz Monitor Thread

djc120hz and 3d go hand in hand because 3d done on a panel with <120hz has very noticable flickering
just to clarify, 120 Hz does allow 3D, but a monitor having 3D does not guarantee that it is 120 Hz. Some monitors, eg whatever model LG replaced the W2363D with, use polarizing 3D instead of active-shutter glasses and are only 60 Hz.
