it's not the sound it the fact you are using a custom file and they are currently blocked in sv_pure 2
yttriumaieramy hitsound (hitsound.wav) and killsound (killsound.wav) both don't work on (some?) sv_pure 2 servers. instead it just plays the default sound.can you type sv_pure into console and paste the output here, from when it isn't working?
