Activate an earlier contract and then go back to the Hot Hand contract and press "Reactivate" to get the weapon back
Activating an earlier contract is not possible as i've already completed all of the conctracts and bonuses, unless there's certain way that i overlooked
If you already completed a contract you should be able to still activate it, that's what I did when I had to do the new flamethrower contract and it suddenly just got evaporated out of my inventory.

It's marked as "Complete" but I still have the button to reactivate it.
Contracts only fully disable once you've completed all 3 objectivesYeah I had just edited my post since I wasn't sure if that was the case.
If that's how it is then I don't really have any idea since that's the only remedy I've seen.

Ah, alright then. Guess only hope now is to wait for valve to fix it. Thanks for responding though
