Can you also fix the fact that the walls between lobby and last are thin enough that you can see shadows through them? You can tell where the push will come from entirely from the shadows.

In all honesty, you have to look at the fact that long prison sentences (15y<) actually cost a lot for the government that is instituting them. The same goes for rehabilitation efforts. This is probably the only reason why I would condone the death penalty, simply because, if I were convicted of murder, and it was legally obvious that I did it, I would rather die then spend the next 60 years of my life in a prison, then die in one.
That's just a normal prison, high- and maximum security prisons, as well as solitary confinement are some of the most inhumane things in existence. People don't function well without other people.

Though rehabilitation is a good concept, makes sense and the number of people in prisons, as well as crime rates do see a decrease with rehabilitation programs in action, rehabilitation programs open up an even more "revolving door" type criminal justice system, the more relaxed a system there is, the more reason for someone who's been to a prison before to go back than to get a job. This isn't entirely an argument against human morals, but it has to be considered.

tl;dr Replace hopelessly long prison sentences with the death penalty because I'm a cynical idiot.

When I first noticed that it wasn't playing sound it looked like this. I'm going through and trying other alerts by adding a sound file to them and testing it, but besides Channel Action Hilight, I can't find any that look remotely logical.

As I'm typing this I found something that proves that Hexchat isn't playing sounds- no matter what .mp3 I use, when I hit the Play button next to the browser it doesn't play a sound. So that means that it's probably not trying to play a sound. I'm going to do a clean install and see if it works.

Edit:

After reinstalling, and this time doing a custom install and installing all of the addons, it now appears here, but it still does not play sound.

Edit #2:

Tried playing some random audio clips, it turns out that now that I've reinstalled, it will play audio, but only .wavs. Works now.

Alright, like a lot of people, I've been using atf2 to use #tf2.pug.na and #tf2mix, but since that went down a few days ago, I installed and started using Hexchat. I got everything working except for highlighting, no matter what I do, it doesn't play any sounds. here's what I've done:

This is really annoying because I pretty much can't play pugs unless I'm alt tabbing to IRC every few minutes to make sure I'm not getting afk'd.

Actually I don't know. For some odd reason I thought the spacing had been changed so that the right half was smaller, but now that I look at it, it hasn't changed. Stupid thread.
